Don't pay!
Total scam. The line you skip is a 2 minutes line to buy the ticket. I still had to wait 30 minutes in line to get in. This is not for "mandatory security checks" as there are no security checks, it's the line for the observatory deck elevator.

However, as clearly stated in the activity information, security checks at the entrance are mandatory for all visitors and are managed by Galata Tower according to its regulations and visitor capacity. Waiting times for these mandatory procedures may vary and can take 20–40 minutes, particularly during busy periods.
This experience is a hosted entry, not a full guided tour inside Galata Tower. Our host meets guests at the designated meeting point, provides a brief introduction, assists with the entrance process, and then guests explore the tower independently with the included audio guide, available in 25 languages. Therefore, the service is provided as described and advertised.

Excellent. WI-FI not good , actually non existent there, the guide , Denis, was super helpful. He went the extra mile to confirm my booking. Great experience in Galata Tower.

Expensive but worth it
The pass is expensive but gives a lot back. We went for the 48 hours option and made the most of it. We really appreciated our guides, especially Fatih (I hope the spelling is right) at the Galata Tower. He made us feel very welcome and his knowledge of the city is amazing.
