La giornata inizia quando ti veniamo a prendere al tuo hotel tra le 7:30 e le 8:00 in un furgone. Devi essere paziente perché il traffico a volte è un problema, ma non preoccuparti, ti riprenderemo comunque. prenderemo anche altri viaggiatori.
Una Spa naturale e ricca di minerali A differenza dei coni vulcanici che eruttano lava, El Totumo è un vulcano di fango, che è una fessura nella terra che sfoga costantemente fango misto ad acqua e gas provenienti dal sottosuolo profondo. Dimensioni: è piccola, alta circa 15 metri, accessibile da una scala di legno. Fango: Il fango è altamente viscoso, caldo e ricco di minerali come silice, magnesio, calcio, zolfo e ferro. Si ritiene che questa composizione abbia proprietà esfolianti, disintossicanti e terapeutiche per la pelle e i muscoli. 2. La sensazione fluttuante La parte più affascinante è la densità del fango. È comune per i residenti locali offrire assistenza con gli oggetti che porti e successivamente chiedere una mancia. La mancia dovrebbe essere volontaria e a vostra discrezione. Per semplificare il processo ed evitare sollecitazioni, consigliamo vivamente di salire sul vulcano senza oggetti personali: basta indossare i vestiti con cui si intende entrare nel fango.
- Massaggio ed esfoliazione : Una volta all'interno del vulcano, ci sono persone del posto che offrono massaggi. Si prega di chiarire se si desidera o meno questo servizio di massaggio ed esfoliazione.
- Servizio di pulizia: all'uscita dal vulcano, un gruppo di donne del posto si offrirà di pulire il fango dal vostro corpo in un lago naturale. Se non desiderate usufruire di questo servizio, siete invitati a pulirvi anche da soli.
- Costi aggiuntivi: Si prega di notare che qualsiasi assistenza ricevuta, indipendentemente dal fatto che sia offerta dalla Guida o meno, comporterà un costo aggiuntivo.

The mud bath experience was great. The tour guide was nice and friendly. I gave a 3 star rating because of our unpleasant experience with the local people asking for tips from each family member for each unsolicited little service they do. We said NO to massage and NO to touching. They asked 10 pesos (3 USD) for taking a few family photos but each family member had to pay the 10 pesos, mandatory. 10 pesos each for giving you a hand while getting out of the pool which was unnecessary, unsolicited and unexpected. 10 pesos for carrying your slippers down to the river when getting washed off, which we said we need to have and wear our slippers because it was too hot to walk down to the river barefooted. They refused to give us our slippers back, this was also mandatory so they can ask for money to carry them, when we really need to wear them for comfort. We feel like the tour company was telling us to pay the 10 pesos each service/each person whether we take the service or not. We understand the need to give a tip but it was the way they do it is what got me. They touch you or carry your slippers without being asked and there you go…you pay 10 pesos! That was the unpleasant experience we had otherwise we enjoyed the mud bath.

We had an amazing time with our driver Jesus and travel guide Ninche. However once it was over we were bombarded with the staff aggressively telling us we need to pay them tips not even giving us the opportunity to. Besides that it was a good mud experience. I would do it again
