We joined the Elaho Exhilarator as a group from Mungeh Eco Tour Association, and everyone had such a great time. From the moment we arrived, the entire team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, respectful, and professional. A very special thank you to our rafting guides, Alex and Tom — you guys were absolutely fantastic! Professional, knowledgeable, fun, and full of great energy. You made us feel safe while keeping the whole experience exciting and memorable. You truly made this an unforgettable day for our entire group! We also really appreciate the reservations team for being so helpful, patient, and flexible while we were organizing our group and finalizing the number of participants. The communication and support throughout the booking process were excellent. Beautiful scenery, exciting rafting, great organization, and most importantly, an amazing team of people. Thank you, Alex, Tom, and everyone at Canadian Outback Rafting for such a memorable experience. We truly appreciate everything you did for our group and would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone looking for an unforgettable rafting adventure!
Hello Mehran, Thank you for all your kind and thoughtful feedback, it means a lot to us. We are so thrilled that the pre-trip communication went smoothly and that your group ended up having an amazing time on the river! You are welcome back any time. - The Canadian Outback Rafting Team
Great family fun. The check in was easy. Staff were friendly and the guides Fletcher, Wade, Momo and Coby were great. Lots of kids on the trip all looked to enjoy themselves. Paige was a great driver and photographer
Hi there, Thank you for sharing your positive experience with us! We are so glad to hear our awesome staff made your trip enjoyable and fun! We hope to have you join us again in the future. - The Canadian Outback Rafting Team
The rafting was fun and great for our kids who are new to this. Our guide was fantastic and really helped the kids have fun maximizing the small rapids. Of note: the float was less than 1 hour in length (was advertised at 1.5-2 online with a total 3 hour experience). This was our real timeline for a 3 pm raft time: Left Whistler at 1:45. Checked in at 2:30, waited around for 30 minutes. 3:00: Grabbed equipment (mad dash with 45 others). Left on bus at 3:40, arrived at put in location at 4:30, 10 minute demo and then push off at 4:45 in the raft. Arrived at take out at 5:40 and got back in the bus Arrived back at the 6:15, undressed and out of there by 6:30. A five hour process for less than one hour in the water and about $150/pp…. I kind of expect more for this cost and they tell you not to bring phones or cameras or go pro, but then try to sell you pictures they take during it. Overall we had fun, but I was sad that we only had so many sunny hours in Whistler -and it felt like we wasted a lot of them on transportation and waiting around for the experience to begin.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're really pleased to hear that your family enjoyed the rafting itself and that your guide helped make the experience fun for your kids. We'll be sure to pass your kind words along. We're sorry to hear that the overall experience didn't meet your expectations. We completely understand how disappointing it can feel when you're trying to make the most of a beautiful day in Whistler. Regarding the time on the river, our Cheakamus Splash trip is advertised as approximately 1–1.5 hours on the water, which is the typical rafting duration. While river conditions can occasionally affect this slightly, your reported rafting time of just under an hour is within that expected range. Based on the schedule for your trip, it also appears that some of the travel times you noted were longer than we would normally expect. The drive between our base and the rafting put-in is much shorter than 50 minutes, so your recollection of the day's timeline doesn't quite match our operational schedule. That said, we certainly appreciate that, from a guest's perspective, the combination of check-in, gearing up, transportation, and the activity itself can make for a longer overall outing. We also understand your comments regarding cameras. For safety reasons, we ask guests not to bring phones or unsecured cameras on the river, as they can easily be lost or become a hazard. We do offer professional photos as an optional keepsake, but there is never any obligation to purchase them. Thank you again for your feedback. We genuinely appreciate hearing about your experience, as it helps us understand our guests' perspectives and continue improving where we can.
Our trip was a lot of fun. My boyfriend was a little nervous about the rafting, but our guide was great and she kept us safe and told us stories the whole way.
Hey Alison, Thank you so much for your 5 star review, we are glad to hear about your fantastic day on the river!
We had a great day doing the family friendly rafting. The guides were absolutely excellent and it was great floating down the river enjoying the nature and some rapids (appropriate for the age of our children). Would highly recommend!
Hi Jenny, Thank you for your kind words! We're so glad your family had a great time on the river. We hope to see you again for another adventure!
Loved it! Staff were great - special thanks to Wade! Although putting on a wetsuit isn’t the most fun the actual rafting was brilliant. We could have gone a bit more daring as we floated more than the exciting bits but we didn’t know what to expect. Sad we didn’t see hardly any wildlife but then we were probably too noisy! Such a fun afternoon, would highly recommend
Thank you for the great review! We're so glad you had such a fun afternoon and that Wade and the rest of the team helped make it a memorable experience!
Took the kids on their first ever whitewater rafting experience. This was a perfect first trip for them. Sass our guide was great, the kids had a blast, and there was more rapids than expected.
Hi Gerald, Thank you for your 5 star review! We are glad you had an awesome day on the river with Sass. -The Canadian Outback Rafting Team
Jacob was an amazing guide. We had so much fun in this excursion. What a wonderful experience.
Thank you for such a glowing review! We will be sure to pass on your kind words to Jacob.
Guides were great and the river is beautiful but they added a family of 5 to my family of 4 on a boat where only 8 can paddle so my son did not get a chance, meanwhile they took a family of 3 alone on another boat. If you’d like to paddle, make sure you ask they divide people fairly.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're so glad to hear you enjoyed our guides and the beauty of the river. We're sorry to hear you were disappointed with the rafting groupings. The group of three you mentioned had booked and paid for a private raft, which is why they were on their own. When we have 9 people in a boat on our Cheakamus trip, we can accommodate having everyone paddle throughout the trip. We apologize if this wasn't clearly communicated before or during your tour. Thank you again for joining us!
Very fun and safe experience. Beautiful scenery and fun currents, we even had the opportunity to stop halfway and go for a swim. Kind staff who explained everything well (Alex) and made it a fun ride whilst also sharing fun facts about the nature and animals we saw (Jacob).
We are so happy to hear that you had a great experience rafting with us! We will pass the kind words on to the guides. Glad to hear you braved the cold water and went for a dip!
