Quando arriviamo lì, hai il vantaggio di poter saltare la fila per i biglietti e iniziare l'escursione.
Inizierai il percorso attraverso la grotta a piedi e proseguirai fino a raggiungere il Lago Martel, dove si esibiranno un concerto di musica classica, poi ti verrà data l'opportunità di attraversare il lago su una piccola barca di legno. (opzionale) Questo giro in barca è un'esperienza unica nella vita ed è incluso nel prezzo. Il Lago Martel è uno dei più grandi laghi sotterranei esistenti. Durante la visita assisterai anche a un magico spettacolo di luci che ricrea l'alba.

The tour guide never accommodated a pick up close to where I was. He never got back to me, he told me a place that was very far, I was unable to get there in time from the port on my cruise, they would not refund me and I was not able to go because they did not give me a pick up option that I could access and did not respond back to my requests. They basically stole $120 from me and refused a refund.

First of all, nobody "stole" anything from you. You made a booking, a tour was scheduled, a guide was present and the excursion operated as planned. What happened is that you requested an alternative pickup location that was more convenient for you. Unfortunately, not every location in Mallorca can be served by every excursion, especially when dealing with cruise arrivals, fixed departure times and pre-arranged routes. Pickup options are limited to the locations offered for the tour. You state that nobody responded to your requests. Our records show otherwise. If we had not responded, you would not have received the information about where to meet the tour in the first place. The reality is that you were unable to reach the agreed meeting point in time and therefore missed the excursion. Missing a tour because you cannot reach the departure point is not the same as the company cancelling the service. It is also important to remember that the meeting point, departure information and contact details are provided before the tour. Guests are responsible for ensuring they can reach the departure location at the required time. We fully understand your disappointment at missing the excursion. However, describing a company as "thieves" because you were unable to attend a tour that operated exactly as booked is neither fair nor accurate. To be avoided! An hour's journey where a lady talks to you about Rafael Nadal, the organization on site, and what she sees on the road. Once in Spanish, in English, and in French. On site, there are 500 people entering the cave in a single file. We wait 20 minutes at the bottom for everyone to settle in, to then have a 10-minute classical music concert with people playing on a boat. You can row for 2 minutes to cover 100 meters. These 100 meters can also be done on foot. A positive point is that the cave is beautiful. But there is no story, no explanations... nothing... Just we go down, and we come back up after the mini concert. It is not worth it at all... just pass your way.

Ce que vous oubliez volontairement de mentionner, c’est que pendant même la visite des grottes, vous aviez déjà envoyé un message pour demander un remboursement intégral simplement parce qu’il y avait “500 personnes”. Nous supposons que vous les avez comptées une par une. Les Cuevas del Drach sont l’une des attractions les plus populaires de Majorque, visitées par des milliers de personnes chaque semaine, surtout en haute saison. Si vous recherchiez une grotte privée et vide, il fallait probablement éviter l’un des sites touristiques les plus célèbres d’Espagne. Vous critiquez également la guide pour parler en plusieurs langues, alors que cela est clairement indiqué dans la description de l’excursion. Et ce qui est encore plus surprenant, c’est qu’après la visite vous avez personnellement dit à la guide qu’elle avait fait un très bon travail et que vous n’aviez aucun problème avec elle — oui, cela a bien été enregistré. Maintenant que votre demande de remboursement à 0€ a été refusée, vous écrivez soudainement un avis agressif et exagéré. Cela en dit beaucoup plus sur votre attitude que sur l’excursion elle-même. La réalité est simple : les grottes sont magnifiques (vous le reconnaissez vous-même), le concert dure environ 10 minutes comme annoncé, la barque est une courte traversée symbolique du lac souterrain, également décrite ainsi, et des milliers de visiteurs apprécient cette expérience chaque année. Requested hotel pick up and tour guide confirmed it was possible and provided us with a pick up location for bus stop. Got on the bus they told us to get on, bus was 20 minutes late due to other stops- so we were 25 minutes late to pick up point for tour. Communicated with the tour guide that we would be late due to the transportation they set up. Tour guide did not reply and when we got there was no where to be found and refund was rejected. Scam!
Dear Emily, Your review is extremely unfair and omits the most important facts of what actually happened. Calling this “terrible customer service” or implying any kind of scam is simply false. Let’s be very clear: you originally booked with a normal meeting point. As a goodwill gesture, we manually changed your pickup arrangement so you could join much closer to your hotel. You confirmed this change yourself in writing. The conversation clearly shows this: You asked if pickup near your hotel was possible. We organised an alternative pickup with the Transunion bus at 09:00. You thanked us and confirmed. Then, while already on the bus, you informed us that you would not arrive until 09:45 / 10:00. The main tour departure time was around 09:30, clearly shown on your voucher. At 10:01 we asked: “you are one hour late. where are you?” because at that point the excursion had already departed. You arrived close to 10:00, not at the agreed pickup time of 09:00. The tour cannot delay an entire bus full of passengers for nearly one hour because two clients were late. What is also incorrect in your review is claiming “the transportation they set up made us late.” The transport was an extra courtesy option arranged to help you. The timing issue happened because you boarded the wrong service/timing and did not arrive at the agreed hour. The refund was rejected because this was correctly classified as a no-show caused entirely by not being at the agreed pickup point and time. Please be aware, they do not tell you WHO to meet they give you a location on a board walk filled with tour buses and hundreds of people with no info on the tour operators name or company etc. 0 parking in the meet point highly recommended to take a taxi we made the mistake of bringing the rental we arrived 15 minutes early looking for parking driving in circles , one of our party members attempted to locate the tour operator asking numerous buses no one seemed to be able To point us in the right direction. Called Viator customer support they called and emailed the operator with no response , I also messaged and called operator no response. After speaking with customer service and attempting to atleast get a new ticket date as I feel it was an unfair and unclear meet point . Your company refused a new date sadly, so basically they got 300 cad for free what a bad way to run a business I totally understand if we were late but we could not find the operator amongst the chaos. To the operator you should make it very clear who and what you’re meeting bus color and company name , when I called customer service at first I asked numerous times what company am I looking for they couldn’t give me an answer. Your review is simply not accurate, and we must be very clear about this. You claim there was confusion and no information, yet this is completely contradicted by evidence: We have a video from that exact departure, showing the meeting point (Bar Varadero) and our 2 clearly identified buses — the only ones operating there at that time. And by the way, you or your group is not there. They had no issue finding us. So the question is obvious: if everyone else found it, where is the real problem? You also state that no one responded — this is not correct. The platform you booked with reviewed your case and denied the refund because it was a no-show, which confirms you were simply not at the meeting point. Regarding parking: There is blue zone parking nearby. There is also a public car park just a few minutes away: “Aparcament Parc de la Mar - SMAP”, easily found on Google. Additionally, your voucher clearly states that you can contact us the day before to confirm bus details. You chose not to do this, yet you blame the company. This was not an issue of organisation — it was something very easy: you were not at the designated meeting point at the designated time. The tour guide was really nice, we got loads of informations about the trip and he spoke so many languages. The driver was great too, the condition of the coach bus is great, super clean and very comfortable. The drach caves are definitely something to see, the opera was amazing and the pearl museum was so good too. The only thing we would change would be maybe to give visitors an hour extra to have time to enjoy the experience. Inside the caves you had the possibility to have a short boat ride but because it eas so crowded and so busy, we had to choose between waiting in the long queue or go to the pearl museum, so unfortunately we didn't have time for the boat ride. The tour guide did advise us to take the first seats in the cave but people are going in front of you, push and so on, so if you have any kind o manners you would end up at the end on the line. Lovely experience though 🥰

There’s definitely room for improvement. This is a very tourist-heavy experience, and unfortunately they seem to admit as many visitors per session as possible. 1. Arrive early for your allocated time slot. We got there about 10 minutes beforehand and still found ourselves behind roughly 100–150 people in the queue. 2. To move around comfortably and properly take in the surroundings, the organisers would ideally limit capacity to around half of what they currently allow. As it stands, you’ll often need to wait just to take a decent photo or even to walk through certain areas. That said, the classical concert at the end is a lovely addition. The acoustics inside the cave are impressive, and the musicians are excellent. 3. At the end, there’s an optional short boat ride. Be aware that this does not take you outside, which isn’t clearly explained. You may also need to queue again for anywhere between 10 and 60 minutes, just to travel around 30 metres. In most cases, it’s quicker and easier to walk back the same way and avoid the wait, especially as there are only a few boats operating with limited capacity.
