Esperienza di surf a Playa El Tunco

I went to Tamanique which was great, guides catered for faster walkers and what was an unusually slow group compared to most. Loved swimming and jumping in the pools. Guide, Pablo, was very affable and when I suggested that I wanted to surf but was nervous as I nearly drowned once, he offered me a reduced price tour. Though I had conquered fear of ocean in terms of swimming or snorkelling I was worried about waves. He couldn't have been more encouraging and reassuring. I got better every time I tried with his suggestions. Didn't ever stand up for long but "knelt surfed" via kneeling for a short distance. Completely unimportant though, what is important is that an activity I half-fancied and was half-worried about, became something that put a huge grin on my face by the end. I was loving it more and more and will go for a second lesson . Entirely down to Pablo. Best guide I had in Central America. Thank you!

Chamba and Pablo were amazing! Super friendly, patient, and incredibly beginner-friendly. They made us feel comfortable right away and had us up riding waves in no time. One of the highlights of our trip—we only wish we could do it again. Highly recommend!

My sister and I had a great time learning how to surf with Pedro and Kevin! Neither of us had surfed before, but it was not intimidating at all. Our instructors did a great job of breaking down instructions step-by-step and helping us correct mistakes so we improved throughout the lesson. The length of the lesson was just right for learning how to ride some waves while not being too tiring. I would highly recommend this experience to any beginning or novice surfers!

I had a surf lesson with Pablo and as some background I am 47, I have never surfed before, I nearly drowned in the ocean once before in 2004 and I can't even ride a bike Pablo could not be friendlier and just puts you straight at ease with his genuinely kind and easy going demeanour. He teaches you in a straight forward and encouraging way so that I felt every time I got on the board I got closer and closer to actual surfing and I eventually knelt and stood up and got the feeling for how proper, actual surfing might be. It was incredible! I've been lucky to have travelled all over and done many things but, despite being a little uncertain beforehand, I came away honestly able to say it was one of the most fun things I have ever tried. Thank you Pablo, and I genuinely cannot recommend this guy enough. Put it this way, I'm now looking for places (cos I leave Tunco tonight) to have more surfing lessons. Fantastic experience!

It was my first time and a great experience. It was however the hardest thing I’ve ever did but I’ll definitely try it again. My instructor Kevin was patient with me and kept reminding me that this is my first time trying this.

It was my first time. Definitely, I've had a full support from the trainer. After the first lesson I was already able to stand up and fell the wave.

Such an amazing and fun experience! Very memorable- great way to learn surfing, the instructors are super helpful and encouraging. Waves are forgiving and water is super warm! This experience got me addicted to surfing. Will definitely come back and highly recommend and El Salvador in general ☺️🔥

Chamba was a great surf instructor. He helped me get my footing on the board and start riding the waves quickly. I would recommend booking.
