Visiteremo questo piccolo mercato, popolare tra la popolazione locale di Oaxaca, per caricare il nostro corpo di energia ed essere pronti per la nostra escursione in montagna; in questo mercato troveremo diverse opzioni per la colazione, tra succhi di frutta freschi e frutta di stagione, oltre a tamales di fagioli, mole, fiori dolci o di zucca, quesadillas e deliziose memelitas. Qui si possono trovare anche acque o frullati di frutta fresca!
Qui faremo le nostre escursioni! Nelle foreste della Sierra Norte de Oaxaca, ecosistemi temperati di grande importanza ecologica, che ospitano boschi di pini e querce, foreste nuvolose mesofile. Questa regione è famosa per la sua biodiversità unica, per l'alta concentrazione di specie endemiche di flora e fauna, come il colibrì multicolore, e per gli spettacolari paesaggi caratterizzati dalla presenza di nebbie ed epifite. Le comunità locali hanno preservato queste foreste per secoli e oggi sono una destinazione chiave per l'ecoturismo e il turismo d'avventura in Messico. Accompagnati da una guida locale, faremo una facile e bella escursione di 3 ore nelle più belle foreste del Messico, considerate tra le più varie al mondo con una vegetazione lussureggiante, punti panoramici e splendide viste sulla Valle di Oaxaca.
Prima di rientrare in città, faremo una pausa pranzo in uno dei ristoranti più attraenti della Sierra Norte di Oaxaca, dove potremo trovare deliziosi piatti locali come bevande calde come caffè, cioccolato all'acqua o al latte, pan de yema, atole e champurrados, oltre a succhi di frutta freschi e piatti tradizionali come chilaquiles e memelitas o quesadillas, sicuramente un must dopo la nostra avventura nella foresta!

I loved this beautiful hike! A bit challenging for me @ 78, but Daniel was very patient and even provided helpful walking sticks. The group was small, so we each had time to ask questions, and I learned many Spanish words, though Daniel led the tour in perfect English. He taught us about fauna, flora and birdcalls. In case there's no time for lunch, make sure you bring hearty snacks. Well-organized, well-priced and lots of FUN. Highly recommended!
This was the best! Super personalized. I had a great time. Not a big production with a crowd of people. A real hike. Like you'd do at your favorite place with friends when you want to show them a place you love. Definitely recommend.
This was the perfect escape into nature from Oaxaca City. Especially if you are looking to do a half day trip. Daniel was super accommodating and tailored the trip to our small group. He even stopped the car by request to let us take photos. He was also very knowledgeable of local plants and birds. Highly recommend and will be booking with him again when I come back.

It was a beautiful day of hiking at Sierra Norte! It took a while to get out of the city due to the blockade but when we got out, it was a smooth sailing. Daniel Is a kind and easy going young fellow and we enjoyed his company very much!!
Daniel was awesome. What a great experience to have. Hike was the perfect way to get out of the city for a day. Would definitely recommend.
Even though the weather unexpectedly turned cold and rainy and there was no visibility at the 10500 feet elevation we still enjoyed the fresh mountain air, the variety of plant life along the trail and the good companionship of Daniel and Andreas.
Although I enjoyed the trip a lot and found Daniel to be a very pleasant and knowledgeable guide there was an administrative error, which I believe was the fault of TripAdvisor, not the company and meant that we had too many people booked on the trip. My return journey turned out to be very uncomfortable as a result!,
A magical day with Daniel and his brother. We had a delicious stop off at a local market for breakfast and then headed into the mountains. It was a beautiful day with a lovely group of people. Daniel was very kind and engaging and gave many interesting insights about the area. I would highly recommend this tour with a lovely chill human. Thanks, Daniel!
We had such a great experience with Daniel! Unfortunately for us I cut open my foot the day before we were supposed to go on a hike, so we had to change our plans a bit. But Daniel was really flexible and kind. He took us up to the mountains anyway and took us for a shorter hike I could do on flip flops. We’ll have to come back for the proper hike! But besides that he’s really knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna, and really friendly. We had a lovely chat the whole ride up and down, and the whole hike as well. 100% would recommend!
