Il tuo viaggio inizia con un trekking di 3 miglia attraverso la foresta nazionale di Tongass, la foresta pluviale temperata più grande del mondo. La tua guida esperta ti condurrà attraverso questa natura selvaggia, serpeggiando oltre stagni di castori e arrampicandoti su terreni glaciali esposti, dove il sentiero sfuma nella natura selvaggia. Uscendo dalla foresta e raggiungendo la cresta finale, verrai accolto dalla vista mozzafiato della facciata frastagliata del ghiacciaio Mendenhall e del suo fiume ghiacciato. Qui assaporiamo viste panoramiche sul ghiacciaio, concediamo spuntini abbondanti e scattiamo foto impressionanti. Osserva i crepacci blu intenso del ghiacciaio, le cascate di ghiaccio, le montagne circostanti e le Nugget Falls. Questa escursione non è per i deboli di cuore; richiede equilibrio e passo sicuro eccezionali. Il percorso comprende 800 piedi di dislivello, attraverso terreno roccioso, irregolare e scivoloso. È un viaggio memorabile che promette panorami indimenticabili.

Situato a soli 12 miglia dal centro di Juneau, Alaska. È l'unico ghiacciaio dell'Alaska sudorientale accessibile su strada. Il segno "C", situato vicino ai moli delle navi da crociera direttamente tra il Mt. I clienti che soggiornano nei principali hotel della Mendenhall Valley possono essere prelevati direttamente dal loro hotel. - L'età minima è di 10 anni. Per le famiglie con bambini tra gli 8 e i 9 anni, possiamo personalizzare un viaggio privato.
- Tutti i clienti devono essere sufficientemente in forma, allenati e in grado di camminare fino a 4 ore, coprendo circa 7 miglia andata e ritorno.
- I clienti devono indossare robusti scarponi da trekking che forniscano un buon supporto alla caviglia durante le escursioni su terreni irregolari e rocciosi. Tutti i clienti dovranno percorrere l'intero percorso con uno zaino durante questo viaggio.
- A causa dei rischi inerenti, non permettiamo la partecipazione di ospiti incinte
- Questo tour non include il trekking sul ghiacciaio o l'esplorazione attorno al bordo del ghiacciaio, ma porterà i gruppi alla vista del ghiacciaio.
- Non è possibile garantire una quantità specifica di tempo trascorso nell'area di osservazione del ghiacciaio. La quantità di tempo dipende dal ritmo del gruppo e dalle condizioni meteorologiche.
- Con le partenze di gruppo cerchiamo di massimizzare la nostra capacità di viaggio e successivamente potrebbe essere necessario modificare l'orario per accogliere ulteriori clienti. Se l'orario di partenza del tuo viaggio cambia, ti avviseremo il prima possibile.
- I clienti devono divulgare informazioni relative a condizioni/anamnesi mediche pertinenti, allergie e qualsiasi tipo di restrizione o limitazione che potrebbe introdurre un grado maggiore di difficoltà in questo viaggio.
- Verrà addebitata una tariffa di salvataggio di $ 250 per cliente per qualsiasi salvataggio basato sull'incapacità del cliente di completare il trekking a causa di condizioni/limitazioni mediche non dichiarate o di un livello insufficiente di forma fisica che inibisce significativamente il ritmo del gruppo.
- MODULO DI ESONERO DI RESPONSABILITÀ/ASSUNZIONE DI RISCHI: Ogni partecipante al viaggio dovrà firmare un modulo di Esonero di Responsabilità/Assunzione di Rischio all'inizio del viaggio. Non sono ammesse modifiche e/o cancellazioni della rinuncia.

We had an amazingly beautiful hike, and an amazingly knowledgeable and kind guide! Transportation to and from the hike was on time and comfortable, and the trip was incredibly scenic.
Had a fantastic time hiking with Reina in a small group of 8 on the 23 June. She is very personable and managed to make everyone feel very welcomed while keeping us safe, sharing her knowledge and making sure no one gets left behind. Great humour and wonderful group altogether. It was great to get away from the busy tourist towns to experience this. There are some rock scrambling towards the end but Reina gave great instructions and made it an easier experience. Loved the encouraging high fives she gives at the end of a climb. The bonus was having a group that hiked quickly that we get to spend 30 mins at the peninsula before hiking back.

Enjoyed a great hike to Mendenhall Glacier, Katie and Reyna were our guides and they were the most positive, happy and helpful guides ever! It was really beautiful and not a hard 6 mile (total) hike. The four of us are in our 60's and it was completely fine, if you're in decent shape. Would highly recommend it. Did not walk on the glacier (this part was a bit confusing to us), but decided we were actually good with that.

We did the Mendenhall Glacier Guides Choice Trail with Hailee on August 30th. Hailee was absolutely great she had great information on the landscape and Glacier, she was very personable and to my amazement learned everyone's name in the group. She also took the time to take as many pictures as we wanted. Great experience would highly recommend.

This is a hard hike but so worth it. The guide Heather was so good at telling you where to place your feet and hands when it comes to the scrambling part. Heather was informative about the area, knew the answers to all of our questions. Highly recommend if you want quite a challenge to reach views like no other.

Great hike with our informative and helpful guide Randy. Nice views and photo opps. Nice smallish group, which meant there was time to ask questions. Recommend waterproof boots as it is a good track but wet !
