Escursione giornaliera a Mount Longonot Safari parte ogni giorno da Nairobi dopo la colazione e il viaggio dura circa un'ora. Inizi il consenso a 6000 piedi. Come tutte le buone escursioni in salita, ti cullerà in un senso di falsa sicurezza con una lenta salita delicata alla prima vetta. Questo ti dà la possibilità di liberare i polmoni e gli arti per la seconda sezione, che è la più fantastica. Alla fine di ogni sezione c'è un punto di sosta in cui puoi prepararti per la parte successiva del tuo viaggio. Avrai iniziato presto per evitare il calore del Sole, ma quando raggiungerai la fine della seconda sezione avresti generato il tuo calore. Questa escursione non è facile ma è raggiungibile da persone di media forma fisica. La nostra guida ti accompagnerà in cima. Mentre ti sollevi sul bordo del cratere, la tua ricompensa è la vista spettacolare di Naivasha e della Great Rift Valley e sai che ne è valsa la pena. L'intero tour è lungo solo circa 8-9 km ma molto ripido, quindi il giro del cancello del parco - Longonot Peak - il cancello del parco dura circa 5 ore di cammino. Gli escursionisti devono essere ragionevolmente in forma per prendere parte a questa escursione. Le magnifiche viste dal bordo del cratere valgono comunque ogni passo doloroso e lo sforzo. Oggi l'escursionismo è di moderata difficoltà con l'arrampicata ripida. Il terreno ha polvere fine, con ghiaia sciolta in alcune zone dell'escursione. Dovresti portare con te comode scarpe da trekking, abbigliamento leggero e acqua potabile. Quando scendi dalla montagna, fai una pausa nel quartier generale del Parco Nazionale del Monte Longonot, prima di recarti al Lago Navaisha, dove avrai la possibilità di acquistare il pranzo al Marina Camp sul lago. Se lo si desidera, prenotare un giro turistico in barca sul lago Navaisha, dove centinaia di specie di uccelli prosperano insieme a una popolazione di ippopotami. Dopo il tuo soggiorno al Lago Navaisha, questo tour si conclude con il trasferimento di ritorno al tuo hotel di Nairobi.

A perfect trip with Gracepatt Ecotours, even the day before the contact and booking with Grace was perfect. Our driver Titus picked us up at 6:00 in the morning on time from our private accommodation (at friends) in Nairobi. Nobody was on the tour except the two of us. After a very pleasant ride with Titus to Longonok National Park we started at 8:00 a.m. with the local guide Lewis on the Longonok. Lewis took us to the summit and told us a lot about the plants and animals in the park, about the volcano and much more. We were very happy that we started so early and were already back around noon when it got really hot. Afterwards we continued with Titus to Lake Navasha - the boat trip is highly recommended and worth every shilling (per person 3000 shillings, 25 USD). Titus was so super kind to lend us the 6000 shillings for the boat tour until the next day, because we had assumed that we could pay for the boat tour by card. The return trip with Titus was also very pleasant and we were back in Nairobi after a beautiful eventful tour about 17:00. Thank you Titus, thank you Grace!
What an experience! Kelvin was an amazing guide, trekking us up the beautiful Mt Longonot. He pointed out various wildlife along with educating us on the trees and flora in this area. He was also a great sport in taking pictures of us at the summit. We enjoyed every minute of this tour (ok so the last few steps were probably not enjoyed because we were exhausted!!:)) This is a great tour that everyone should check out! Spectacular! As well as the hiking we went on a boat trips seeing lots of wildlife. Both of the guides for each section were very knowledge and Stephen knew all the best pla especially to go resulting in a wonderful lunch by the lake side

It was a great day from the drive out to Mt Longonot to the climb, reasonable fitness and head for heights as it is an all 4's climb if you want to complete the climb up to the peak and walk the whole way around the rim.

Challenging for us (in our 50s) but that was part of the attraction. We had the perfect guide who was keen for us to enjoy the experience. Recommend a hat and lots high factor protection.

Kelvin was an excellent driver w/ nice sedan, Kennedy-Darius was an caring guide of Mt. Longonot. You can expect great view of the Rift Valley from the viewpoint and from the top of Mt. Longonot. If you prefer to go around the crater of Mt. Longonot, which takes 5-6 hours, ask upon booking. At Lake Naivasha, you'll have great chance of seeing many birds, hippos, giraffes, and zebras.
