What was supposed to be a highlight of our trip turned into a disappointment, thanks to our tour guide's lack of integrity. He promised to take us to get the Machu Piccu stamp, but instead, he lied about it being unavailable. I felt let down and frustrated by his dishonesty. I’d immediately did research and found that it was still available.
Miguel was a really great guide. My family really enjoyed it
The tour at Machu Picchu on property was excellent. The tour guide on property was the very best and the site is beautiful. However, the company that we booked the tour through was very rude. First, we’re told a 5:00 am pick-up and no one came and found out that the pick up time changed to 7:50am. Also, we’re in the van from 7:50 to 12:45 pm without any consideration to stop for the bathroom. Secondly, once we arrived at the train station we’re informed someone from the company would be there to assist us with finding our train. Once we arrived, no one was there and our group had to scramble to find our train. Finally, the tour day was 16.5 hours and the shuttle driver dropped us off on the Main Street and made us walk serval blocks at 12:30 am. The tour guide that I booked with should find another occupation. I am a world travel and I am 63 years old and this was the worst tour experience I ever had.
This was an unforgettable trip! The guides were dependable and knowledgeable! There were some unforeseen circumstances that made the trip longer than I was expecting but it was no fault of the company. They were flexible and figured a way out for us with the train delay and the new government regulations. The Machu Picchu ruins are worth it. Highly recommend this company.
It was a bucket list visit item and so glad we had a wonderful guide Miguel to pair the history of Machu Picchu to the spectator views of the valley! So worth the long journey to visit the ruins!
Top organization. WhatsApp contact from the time of booking the trip. Immediate response to questions. You only receive the tickets on site, don't worry, it works. I worried about that unnecessarily. There are different time slots in Machu Picchu. We were picked up at the hotel at 8:30 AM and were back at 10:45 PM. 1:45 hours MB Sprinter, 1:45 hours train, 25 min bus to the entrance, same on the way back. The train ride is super bumpy. On site, you meet your guide in small groups. As a family of three, we had our own guide. Luxury. It was the same for the others, top. Our guide Samuel was great. He speaks perfect English, addresses everyone individually, and takes great photos. The terrain can also be easily walked by those who are inexperienced. The tour lasted 2 hours. After that, we had lunch in the pueblo (not included) and the train left at 7 p.m. Price-performance is absolutely okay; you are ultimately paying for the perfect organization. It is certainly much cheaper to organize it yourself, but then you need at least 1 more day from Cuzco. Anyone looking for an efficient, perfectly organized trip is in the right place here.
We had the most amazing tour of Machu Picchu with an amazing guide Renaldi. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about the Incas, Machupicchu and Peru. He was very attentive, made us feel safe and taken care of. Bucket list trip for my group and Renaldi made it perfect.
Train offered was not what we received, sky view very little and seats very small, transport from Cuzco to train station very rough and roads very bad. Limited access to Machu Picchu to a upper view, not aware we could select multiple routes from, this should be presented ahead of booking.
Spectacular, we had an incredible time, without a doubt we will return soon!
This is a must. The views are breath taking. No camera can capture the live experience. The train ride was nice thru the mountains and river. There is a little town at the base of Machu Picchu to eat and shop. It’s a trek (rough and long roads) to get there but this you gotta do.
