È una giornata impressionante di escursioni nella Cordillera Vilcanota, "che è molto vicino alla montagna più alta e sacra del sud del Perù chiamata Ausangate (6.377mts). Questo "Apu" portatore di vita è il Guardiano di uno degli ecosistemi più incontaminati del mondo. Così, la nostra passeggiata sarà accompagnata da cime innevate, ghiacciai, mandrie di lama e alpaca. Questa escursione offre una selezione di fauna selvatica e paesaggi molto impressionanti. Questa sarà probabilmente una delle cose migliori che vedrete nella vostra visita in Perù. La Valle Rossa è uno splendido paesaggio situato vicino alla Montagna Arcobaleno in Perù. Si distingue per le sue intense tonalità rossastre, risultato dell'alto contenuto di ferro nel terreno, e offre un'esperienza visiva unica circondata da montagne e natura andina. È una destinazione ideale per gli appassionati di trekking e fotografia.

Itinerario
Verremo a prendervi al vostro rispettivo hotel alle 4:30 AM, per poi iniziare la nostra incredibile avventura guidando per 2 ore nella nostra mobilità attraverso la Valle del Sud fino a raggiungere la città di Cusipata.
A Cusipata, gusteremo una deliziosa colazione a buffet. Una volta terminati tutti, continueremo il nostro viaggio fino al sentiero (4.326m / 14.189ft.) dove verranno dati gli ultimi tratti per iniziare finalmente una passeggiata di circa 2 ore per una salita moderata. Verso le 10:30 arriveremo alla nostra destinazione chiamata Vinicunca o Montagna Arcobaleno (5020 m). Qui avrete abbastanza tempo per godervi questo paesaggio unico che la geografia. Se desiderate visitare la Valle Rossa, siete pregati di notare che è facoltativa. Se si desidera visitarlo, è necessario informare la Guida prima di iniziare l'escursione. Non ci sono costi aggiuntivi per fare questa escursione, ma il biglietto d'ingresso alla Red Valley non è incluso. Dopo la nostra visita alla montagna di colori torneremo al punto di partenza, dove il nostro trasporto privato ci aspetterà per riportarci alla città di Cusipata, dove gusteremo un delizioso pranzo a buffet, e dopo una breve pausa intraprenderemo il viaggio di ritorno a Cusco arrivando verso le 16:30.
Al vostro ritorno, la mobilità vi lascerà intorno alla piazza principale.

If you’re trying to decide between this and the Humantay Lake hike, do rainbow mountain. The drive is way smoother, the hike easier, and scenery better. Our guide Heber was great switching between English and Spanish and regularly checked in on us as we hiked up and down the mountain.

Our tour guide Jonathan was great. He was very patient and helped us a lot along the way. We had a wonderful time seeing Rainbow Mountain and the nearby Red Valley. I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone that likes a bit of a challenge.
This was a challenging but fun experience. We were conveniently picked up from our Airbnb by our guide Wilbert, who is lovely. He’s very kind and helpful, offering some remedies for altitude sickness throughout the hike. Breakfast was a delicious buffet, and the hike itself was good but hard. The weather wasn’t optimal (snowing, winds, cold) but we were all well taken care of. I recommend this day trip, but prepare for altitude sickness if you are prone
Wilbert was a super awesome guide. We were given less than ideal circumstances (it was snowing) and he did a great job at motivating everyone and making sure everyone was doing well. I would highly recommend Wilbert as your guide.
The trip to Rainbow Mountain was fantastic! Unfortunately it snowed for my group but it was still stunning to see. Be prepared to wear a lit of layers! Wilbert was an amazing guide! He was very kind and well spoken. He checked in with each of us individually. I went solo and didn't have anyone to take my photos at the top but he kindly offered and even held my rain poncho for me so it wouldn't get in the way of the photo. The group seemed a bit down due to the unexpected weather, but he kept cracking jokes to cheer up the mood. I appreciate the work he put in to make this experience fantastic regardless of the weather.
We had our rainbow mountain tour with Wilbert from Chullos Travel Peru. Although it was snowy, Wilbert kept us positive and we still had a great time! Also we had an amazing lunch afterwards
The multi -colored streaks in the Rainbow Mountain were unlike anything I had seen before, and the vast, red landscape of the Red Valley is worth visiting. The breakfast and lunches included in the tour were delicious and satisfying, and I appreciated the friendly and professional nature of our tour guide and driver. Although the hike is a challenge, I found it to be a little bit easier than the trek to Lake Humantay.
