Our family group included grandparents, parents, and teenagers, and finding activities that appeal to everyone can be difficult. Fortunately, this excursion managed to keep all age groups interested. Florence offered a wonderful mix of history, culture, and people-watching. There was enough flexibility that everyone could spend their free time differently while still staying within the group's schedule. Pisa was the perfect finishing touch. Everyone enjoyed seeing the famous tower, and the open square made it easy to move around. It was a comfortable and enjoyable day for the entire family.
Traveling with children and grandparents can sometimes make excursions difficult, but this tour worked well for our entire family. The transportation was comfortable, and the schedule was easy to follow. Florence offered something for everyone. The adults appreciated the history and architecture, while the younger members of our family enjoyed exploring the busy streets and watching local life around the squares. The stop in Pisa was especially popular with the kids, who were excited to finally see the famous Leaning Tower in person. The combination of guided sightseeing and free time created a balanced day that worked for all ages.
Great job to guide and driver! Only wished he told us early on that the tour ended at 630 till I asked versus the scheduled time at 5p, we missed a dinner reservation.
This tour started 40 minutes late because people couldn’t figure out how to get to the meeting spot. The guide had a handwritten sign saying JAT. For the amount this costs- the could have an actual sign. The whole day is 8 hours, about 3 miles of walking and a total of 2 bathroom stops- 1 early and 1 at the end. Not kidding friendly at all!! The stops on the tour are nice and there is a lot to see but for the price we paid, I would never do this again. Not even a bottle of water included.

A 10-minute wait is the maximum buffer for late participants. If you do not feel comfortable waiting for fellow cruise passengers disembarking, please consider booking private tours rather than shared tours. 2. As we greet a couple of hundred cruise passengers daily, we do not use personalized signs. Our sign always says J.A.T., but the tour coordinators have all guests’ names on their lists. 3. Please take a closer look at the “Inclusions” section. No food or beverages are included. 4. Restroom breaks are available at any time, not to mention the two hours of free time in both cities. 5. This tour has never been advertised as “kidding-friendly” BTW what does that mean? When booking future activities with Viator, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the tour description, itinerary, and inclusions rather than on personal assumptions. Safe travels!
I wanted a stress-free way to see Florence and Pisa during my cruise stop, and this excursion met my expectations. Pisa provided a completely different experience and offered one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world. The combination of the two cities made for a very satisfying day.
Although we booked this excursion primarily because it included both Florence and Pisa, Florence quickly became the highlight of our day. The city has a unique atmosphere that combines history, art, and everyday life in a way that feels very authentic. We spent our free time exploring side streets, admiring architecture, and simply enjoying the surroundings. The guide provided interesting background information without making the experience feel overly structured. Pisa was a great addition and gave us the opportunity to finally see the Leaning Tower. The centers of Florence and Pisa are pedestrian areas and can only be explored on foot.
