Personal, Engaging, and Excellent Value Walking Tour
We had a wonderful experience with Experience Edinburgh’s Royal Mile Guided walking tour! What really stood out was how personal the tour felt — our group ended up being just two people, which made the experience feel like a private tour.
Our guide, Ali, was fantastic — incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. The stories she shared at different spots along the Royal Mile were fascinating and offered a great mix of history, legend, and insight into how Edinburgh today has been shaped by its past.
Booking was seamless, the price was very affordable, and the small-group experience made it feel like we were getting something truly personal rather than a standard tourist tour.
I highly recommend Experience Edinburgh for a fun tour experience.

Great tour of Royal Mile
Awesome trip. Very informative. Lots of fun. Impressed she knew her name! Clever girl. But seriously she was fun and interesting.

I’d Definitely Do It Again
I loved it! Our tour guide Tony was excellent - really engaging, he brought it all to life beautifully. Fabulous stories, lots of laughs and not too much walking - the perfect combo. I’d definitely do it again. Thanks Tony.

I was the only participant on the hike and got two guides just for me!!! Both were incredibly nice and kind, Ali is the one I know the name of. She had her first day, so the second guide was there to help her remember everything. A lot of information about the city's history and important places.

Tour Edinburghs history with truth & legends of the Royal Mile.
Terrific 90 min tour of Edinburgh history and the Royal Mile. Jack was an excellent guide and is very knowledgeable of the history and stories of old towns secrets. We enjoyed this very much. Hearing truths and lore of the city added mystery to the history surrounding this beautiful city.

Tour for One
I received a private tour of the Royal Mile with Tony. He was very knowledgeable and able to answer every question I tossed. He definitely fostered a deeper interest in Edinburgh for me.

Great last-minute find in Edinburgh
Booked on the day which was really handy and so glad we did! Such a great way to explore Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, with loads of interesting stories along the way. Really enjoyable walking tour and would definitely recommend.
