A wonderful experience! Completely different from snowmobiling on a glacier. It's not hard, but it's not easy either as you need how to learn to use crampons (I was terrible at it, but other than being slow, did not cause any issues). The guides are terrific and fully explain the various areas of the glacier; they also try to teach you a bit of Icelandic (only the German-speakers in our group were very good at it). A wonderful way to spend the afternoon!
Lars was a terrific guide who made sure me and my fiancee were well-equipped and safe for the hike up the glacier. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this tour with Lars from Finland!
