Ci sono solo pochi posti al mondo dove puoi vedere i lamantini delle Indie Occidentali e il Banana River Manatee Refuge è uno di questi. Vediamo spesso grandi gruppi di lamantini e delfini in questa zona, rendendolo uno dei posti migliori per paddle board o kayak in tutta la Florida!
La Thousand Islands Conservation Area è un sito di 338 acri situato sul fiume Banana adiacente a Cocoa Beach ed è costituito da una serie di isole nella Laguna del fiume Indiano. L'area protetta è composta da oltre 1000 piccole isole, la maggior parte accessibili solo in barca o in kayak. L'area ospita un'ampia varietà di animali selvatici, tra cui cicogne, delfini, lamantini, spatole rosate e piante tropicali rare e in via di estinzione. Passeremo in quest'area per circa 30 minuti.

Mike is an awesome guide. The amount of knowledge he held with the wildlife and how personable he was made the tour so much more fun. The amount of stops were perfect we took our time on everything. I had no idea manatees’ closest relatives were elephants. The morning tour was a solid choice, weather was perfect. Overall enjoyed the time and was very well worth it.

I booked a trip with Three Brothers tours, and had such an amazing experience! Our tour guide Jack was very informative about the area, and gave us a thorough tutorial about kayaking techniques to make our inexperience a non issue. We saw dolphins and manatees.

Went out with Noah and had a great time! Very knowledgeable about the area with lots of great fun facts. Made learning to paddle board very easy and was able to get the hang of it by the end of the tour. Would recommend to anybody looking to go out and see some dolphins and manatees!!

It was so much fun!! Got to see some manatees and some birds at the bird sanctuary! Jack was a great guide and very knowledgeable about Florida history which was amazing! 10/10 would recommend!
