Scopri la vivace città di Rotterdam in questo emozionante tour in bicicletta di ±3 ore. Iniziamo dal centro culturale "OASE", dove incontrerai la tua Guida a "Give a Bike", un'organizzazione locale di base che offre alle vecchie biciclette una seconda vita e sostiene la comunità. Lo spazio è anche sede di un piccolo museo pop-up della bicicletta, con una collezione di biciclette storiche e insolite che aggiunge al carattere unico del punto di partenza. Da lì, pedalerai verso alcuni dei monumenti e dei luoghi storici più famosi di Rotterdam mentre impari la storia unica della città, l'architettura moderna e la cultura locale. Poiché abbiamo appena iniziato, attualmente abbiamo circa 15 biciclette e di solito eseguiamo i nostri tour con piccoli gruppi. Spesso non siamo al completo, dandoti più attenzione personale e la possibilità di conoscere la tua Guida e gli altri ciclisti. La nostra prima tappa sarà davanti all’Hotel New York. Racconteremo la sua storia e l'uso attuale. Anche da lì avremo una splendida vista sul cosiddetto 'tornado' che è il nuovo Museo delle Migrazioni di Fenix.
Pedaleremo sull'Erasmusbrug verso il Distretto Marittimo, dove ci fermeremo al Memoriale di Guerra di Rotterdam della Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Parleremo del ponte e daremo una breve storia di Rotterdam in relazione alla seconda guerra mondiale.
Ci fermeremo nel quartiere delle spedizioni alla fontana che un tempo era nel centro della città. Questa caratteristica parte di Rotterdam ti darà un assaggio di come era Rotterdam prima della guerra.
Il cosiddetto ‘Quartiere dei Musei’ è un luogo di Rotterdam dove hanno sede alcuni dei musei più importanti di Rotterdam, collegati dal parco dei Musei. Faremo una sosta vicino al New Institute guardando il nuovissimo Art Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, una delle ultime icone che è stata aggiunta a Rotterdam e il primo deposito d'arte accessibile al pubblico al mondo! Ti stai già emozionando?
Ci sarà l'opportunità di una pausa di 15-20 minuti in una delle più antiche vie dello shopping di Rotterdam, De Oude Binnenweg. La durata della pausa dipende dalle dimensioni e dalle esigenze del gruppo e può essere regolata sul posto. Durante la pausa, possiamo stare insieme in un bar o si può scegliere di girovagare ed esplorare da soli. Questo momento è ideale per socializzare, ricevere raccomandazioni, riscaldarsi, raffreddarsi o semplicemente usare il bagno. Siete pregati di notare che le bevande non sono incluse.
La nostra ultima tappa prima di riportare le bici sarà davanti al municipio storico di Rotterdam.
Ci fermeremo nelle vicinanze presso la piazza antistante la Chiesa di San Lorenzo.
Le Case del Cubo gialle potrebbero essere uno dei luoghi turistici più famosi della città. Ci metteremo davanti, parleremo della storia e faremo delle foto.
Il Market Hall (2014) ha reso Rotterdam ancora più famosa ed è un moderno mercato al coperto con un sacco di cibo e colori! La chiamiamo anche la nostra moderna Cappella Sistina e scoprirete perché!
Pedaleremo ancora verso il Kings Harbour Bridge, dove faremo una sosta e ci tufferemo nella sua storia!

It was a really special cycling tour, because the guide, named Elmer, is connected to Rotterdam with his heart and this is what he transfers to his tour members. So you'll get a very different and diverse view to Rotterdam and get knowledge about the history, art, education and way of life. I had an very interesting and very funny time on this tour. Very knowledgeable and friendly guide, nice route, good bikes. I enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to discover Rotterdam on a bike.
We had such a wonderful experience on this bike tour! We traveled from the U.S. to Holland with our family to share our Dutch heritage with our children, and exploring Rotterdam by bike ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We had a fairly large group, and they went above and beyond to accommodate all of us, including my daughter and her service dog. Everything was handled so easily and graciously, which we really appreciated. Our guide, Elmer, was knowledgeable, personable, and fun. We saw so much of Rotterdam, learned about its history and culture, and got to experience the city the way so many locals do—on two wheels. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rotterdam. It was a memorable part of a very meaningful family trip and an experience we’re so glad we included!!
Very knowledgeable guide. He took care to make sure the other couple, who did not have much cycling experience, were safe and comfortable to navigate the busy city. We learnt a lot about the history and future plans for the city. Highly recommended.
The best way to get to know the center of Rotterdam in 3 hours with a wonderful guide like Elmer. The bikes are comfortable and easy to ride. I highly recommend it
A wonderful bike tour of Rotterdam with Elmer, a personable local who loves introducing people to his city. This is a comprehensive tour of over three hours that gives you the opportunity to get to know the city in depth in a way a bus tour doesn't. Elmer was patient and accommodating, taking time to answer questions and customize the tour to our interests. He clearly enjoys what he does. We had a great time.

An amazing bike tour around the city of Rotterdam with a very knowledge and fun tour guide! Learned all about the history, culture, and architecture of the city. Biking through Rotterdam gave me the time to see multiple areas of the city. Elmer took the time at each location to provide historical background and the story behind them. The cycling was easily manageable for any level of experience. This tour was interesting and enjoyable.
