Let us do the city at our own pace. Allowed for stopping into a business or restaurant any time along the way. Also, I am 72 and I didn't stress out because I couldn't keep up. The audio was like having a tour guide except you could go back and listen to something you missed or couldn't hear due to surrounding sounds. It covered enough to make you feel like you got a true connection to the town and it's history.
We did this tour on a damp and windy day but that didn't take away from our enjoyment (come prepared!!). David was so knowledgeable about the complete history and geography of the city and pointed out details we would never have spotted on our own. Next time we visit we will definitely book one of David's other tours. It was a great experience that we would highly recommend.
David is a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. He knows Derry like the back of his hand and he gave us a real understanding of the Troubles and the history that preceded them. This was the first time that my wife and I have used a Voice Map tour. We found that it worked exactly as described and we were very happy with the experience. I downloaded the tour to my Apple phone and my wife to her Android phone and both were great. The format gave us the flexibility to take the time we needed, including taking little side trips to see attractions of more interest. A very cost-effective option.

Nice to be able to do this on your own schedule. Tour podcast was a good summary overview of the history and sites of Derry.
I loved this self guided, go at your own pace tour! It gave us an overview of the area so we went back later to visit the suggested sites, museums, etc.
There is definitely an advantage to using this guided audio travelogue. It can be stopped when needed and pick up again. The GPS tells the recorded narrator when you are approaching then next feature. You can stop it to take a side trip or a break. The downloaded map helps.
A most informative and interesting tour - Londonderry is the most fascinating city and David gave us a very balanced and enjoyable insight into it.
We had a very nice tour of the Derry, NI City Walls with David Douglas of Derrie Danders! The rainy weather was disappointing, but fortunately, Mr. Douglas had the energy to keep our small group engaged with all the sites and history around the Derry Walls. Very knowledgeable, interesting and balanced in his presentation of the complex legacy of Derry.
