In questo breve tour guidato prenderemo tutti gli ospiti dalle loro posizioni e procederemo all'orfanotrofio degli elefanti che si trova a 8 chilometri dal centro della città che apre alle 11:00 e lì dopo procederemo al centro delle giraffe poco dopo le 12:00. Il tempo per il pranzo è previsto in questo tour in un ristorante vicino ea proprie spese.

Il Giraffe Center si trova a Lang'ata, a circa 20 chilometri dal centro di Nairobi, in Kenya. È stato istituito per proteggere la giraffa vulnerabile, che si trova solo nelle praterie dell'Africa orientale.
Questo è un tour fantastico e divertente a Nairobi che regala anche ricordi davvero toccanti. L'African Fund for Endangered Wildlife Kenya (AFEW Kenya Ltd), noto anche come Giraffe Center, è un'organizzazione senza scopo di lucro, fondata da Betty e Jock Lesilie Melville nel 1979. La defunta Betty, la moglie americana di Jock, aveva in precedenza aveva scoperto la triste situazione della giraffa Rothschild e ne erano rimaste solo 120 in un ranch di 18.000 acri nel Kenya occidentale che era programmato per la suddivisione e l'insediamento. Il primo sforzo per salvare questa sottospecie è stato quello di portare due giovani giraffe nella loro proprietà a Langata e in seguito Betty ha fondato AFEW USA.
Visita il Parco Nazionale di Nairobi e osserva scimmie, leoni, leopardi, bufali e altro ancora in questo safari mattutino di 4 ore, con trasporto di andata e ritorno al parco incluso.

It was really good. We saw the cute little baby elephants playing in the mud. The team at Sheldrick Wildlife Trust gave us great insight on how they take care of the animals. Our guide was great too, very knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

The trip was great and we had a lovely experience. We got to feed the giraffes which was the highlight of the trip, it was busy but worth the trip. Highly recommend

Total waste of money. We got a message from the tour operator the night before the tour that they could not get tickets for the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. So... instead they took us to the Karen Blixen museum. Kinda ok, but I'm not much into Danish writers. Then they took us to the Giraffe Center. You paid for your own entrance fees to both locations and the driver barely said a word. And... the water promised in the tour description was not even present. You'd be much better off getting a taxi or an Uber to the Giraffe Center.

Sheldrick Wildlife Trust has been having issues with booking slots since June, we had communicated this in advance and you agreed to be taken somewhere else. The entrance fee is clearly stated in the package that it is excluded and you received a message informing you on the same on the day of booking and you expressed no issue with it. As for the bottled water we apologize for that oversight on our end and it won't happen again.
Absolutely horrible experience, driver’s behavior,this driver also asked my son for lunch money for him self.the listing we booked also said bottle water included but never received any. The tour booked was misleading, was transportation, but we expect better service from drivers especially given how often we use viator. This is unacceptable and we demand full refund. We will be leaving a public review on the listing as well. Thank you for working with us to resolve this quickly. Also our driver took more money from us, then orphanage was charging.
Thank you for your review. The driver that's in question was already reprimanded for his behavior upon your first complaint and we ensure this never happens again in future. In the case of bottle water we had offered to stop and get some for you but you refused saying you were in a hurry. As for the entrance fee, you were given back the balance that remained and we still did a partial refund. The service clearly indicates the entrance fees are excluded and on the day of booking you also got a confirmation and a message informing you on the same to which you said you were okay with.
The experience and professionalism of the tour guides and management was heartwarming, and made the tour that much more enjoyable. I sincerely thank you guys . ASANTE SANA.

This is not a guided tour, it is simply a transfer service from your hotel to both of the animal centres, so I am only rating this experience as an expensive taxi service (and not our experience in the centres). The driver was not very helpful and was 17 minutes late to pick us up in the morning despite the fact that we are the only group who was attending the "tour" that day. I don't think the driver has added any value to our tour besides driving us there and back. We could have easily ordered a taxi from Bolt and booked the tickets in advance ourselves with a fraction of the cost that we have paid. However having said the above, I did have a great experience at the Giraffe Center and Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. The staff was great and informative, and I would definitely recommend people to visit.
Thank you , But you gave out a misleading information about the driver/ guide and i guess you should tell the true part of the story . you did not want to pay for the sheldrick entry fees which made the driver pay for you and you had problems refunding him. it is so unfortunate at times driver /guides meet difficult customer and handling them becomes an head ache, you are not a good person despite booking our tour sorry .
Epic is even an understatement. The guide was very friendly and seemed well informed. This experience exceeded my expectation and the service was incredible.

Douglas has been very helpful, he assisted me with information even before the tour and ensuredv that i got to my hotel before 2. In fact the tour was not that long - around 3 hrs and a half for one participant. As for activities themselves, seeing the giraffes and feeding them was really impressive, but the elephants less so. The organization taking care of them was interesting tho.
