Ti porteremo attraverso le strette e tranquille vie veneziane tra il sestiere di Cannaregio e l'Antico Ghetto Ebraico, le meravigliose vetrine dei negozi di antiquariato e le tradizionali botteghe. Potremo fermarci per un ottimo espresso nella piccola torrefazione della città che da quasi un secolo usa la stessa ricetta. Ci muoveremo quindi verso il cuore pulsante di Venezia nei sestieri di San Polo e San Marco. Non mancheremo di attraversare il Ponte di Rialto e di fare un giro del mercato di Rialto. Entreremo quindi in una "corte sconta" per fare una magnifica foto del Canal Grande. A pranzo, un antico bacaro si nasconde tra le calli strette e intricate di Venezia dove si possono gustare ottimi cicchetti della tradizione veneziana. Raggiungeremo Piazza San Marco, circondata dai suoi palazzi principali e arriveremo al Ponte dei Sospiri. Dopo tanto camminare ritorneremo alla stazione a bordo del vaporetto contemplando i palazzi che si affacciano sul Canal Grande.

Passeggiata per il Ghetto ebraico di Venezia
A Cannaregio troviamo la Stazione di Venezia Santa Lucia e la calle principale, chiamata Strada Nova, che collega la stazione alla zona di Rialto. E’ presente inoltre il Ghetto Ebraico, zona in cui la comunità ebraica dovette obbligatoriamente abitare in epoca napoleonica. Le principali vie dello shopping sono Strada Nova e Lista di Spagna, frequentate però anche dai giovani per i bar o come luoghi di ritrovo. Da non perdere la zona dei locali e dei ristoranti a Cannaregio che si trova nella parte Nord del sestiere, più precisamente tra il Ghetto Ebraico e le Fondamenta Nuove. Ad oggi il sestiere rappresenta a pieno uno dei luoghi di divertimento di Venezia.
Il sestiere di San Polo è il più piccolo tra i sei di Venezia ed è molto amato per l’atmosfera di rilassatezza che si avverte girando tra le sue calli; un tempo, invece, era tutt’uno con il Sestiere di Santa Croce. È un quartiere molto caratteristico data la ricca presenza di “case e bottega”, ovvero di luoghi in cui le persone vivono e svolgono il loro lavoro , oltre che alla varietà di osterie tipiche veneziane che prendono il nome di “bacari”. Il suo nome deriva dalla presenza del Campo San Polo, la più grande piazza dopo quella di San Marco, e dell’omonima Chiesa presente nel sestiere. Nonostante sia sempre stata considerata una piazza del popolo, poiché qui avevano luogo eventi e feste pubbliche, questa piazza è circondata da palazzi signorili.
Il Ponte di Rialto è il più antico dei quattro ponti del Canal Grande. È famoso sia per la propria architettura che per la sua storia. Per anni fu il fulcro dell'economia di Venezia. Il Ponte di Rialto si costruì fra il 1588 e il 1591, su progetto dell’architetto Antonio da Ponte, per sostituire la precedente struttura in legno, collassata due volte e bruciata in varie occasioni. La struttura del ponte è simile alle precedenti e consta di due rampe inclinate unite da un portico nel centro.
È una delle piazze più affascinanti del mondo, tanto che Napoleone Bonaparte la definì "il salone più bello d’Europa". Fu costruita nel IX secolo e pavimentata nel 1177, dopo 100 anni dalla sua edificazione. Piazza San Marco è l'area più bassa di Venezia e, perciò, è la prima zona che si inonda con l'acqua alta. Gli edifici più importanti della piazza sono la Basilica di San Marco, il Palazzo Ducale, il Museo Correr, il Campanile e la Torre dell'Orologio.

This tour was supposed to be an English tour. It was a German and English mix so it took twice as much time, as we had to wait for the information to be translated for the other people. We were told we would be picked up in Padua and then got a phone call and were sent train tickets to take the train ourselves. Our tour included a tour of St Mark’s Basilica (which we had paid for) but we were told the tickets were sold out even though we had booked this tour months before, so we could not go inside. The guide walked really fast and did not wait for anyone. The return train was incorrectly booked and we had to be sent a new train ticket. All in all a time-wasting tour that did not meet the tour description.

Regarding what you say, we would like to point out that in the confirmation voucher we send before each tour it is clearly stated that you reach Venice by train. The tour was conducted in English as per your request. It had never happened to us to receive complaints about the contents being explained in a second language and we are sorry that this represented a disservice to you. On the contrary, I would add that we have often received enthusiastic reviews for the ability of our guides and tour leaders to range from one language to another with ease, involving all participants despite their different backgrounds. For the missed entrance to St Mark's Basilica, however, we apologise. Despite the fact that tickets were booked well in advance, they were no longer available. It was our mistake not to have informed you in time, and for this we are willing to refund the entrance fee. With regard to the timing of the tour, precisely because we want to keep to what was described and promised at the time of booking, the guide walked at the speed necessary to complete the described itinerary, and moreover, to accommodate the needs of all present, the tour lasted an extra 2 hours. The latter is why in the end, in order not to incur possible fines, we changed the train tickets so that they had the correct time. This last point I would therefore see as a supplement to the tour provided on the spot for total customer care and not as a disservice. Team Lovivo Tour Experience
Our tour guide Camilla was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about both Venice and Padua, providing many fun facts about monuments and history. She knew all the best spots; restaurants, shops, sights, and more! Venice is incredibly easy to get lost in with all the charming, winding streets, so an expert tour guide such as Camilla is a must. An unexpected perk was that she took the best photos and videos of me and my partner to help remember the trip by!
