Questa splendida prefettura è ricca di castelli storici, piacevoli corsi d'acqua, campi rigogliosi e il lago più grande del Giappone. Una festa per gli occhi e per lo stomaco, questa affascinante regione ospita anche la più antica marca di manzo wagyu del Giappone, nonché uno dei negozi di dolciumi più esclusivi del paese. Questo tour ti porterà in due città castello, Hikone, con uno dei castelli più antichi del Giappone, e Omi Hachiman, nota per i suoi affascinanti canali. Assaggia il Matcha, rilassati in giardini tranquilli e immergiti nello scenario mentre sei guidato dalla tua guida esperta di lingua inglese attraverso questa pittoresca regione del Giappone.

La nostra prima tappa del tour è il castello di Hikone, uno dei castelli meglio conservati del Giappone e tesoro nazionale. È uno dei soli dodici castelli originali rimasti dell'era Edo. Molti dei suoi edifici sono stati designati importanti beni culturali. La tua guida ti condurrà attraverso i terreni del castello e nel mastio, spiegandoti le caratteristiche uniche del castello lungo il percorso.
Avremo quindi tempo per una rilassante passeggiata nel giardino Genkyu-en. Il giardino, progettato per assomigliare al giardino di un palazzo cinese, presenta un laghetto centrale con sentieri pedonali e offre una vista incredibile sul castello. Avrai l'opportunità di assaggiare il tè Matcha e un dolce tradizionale giapponese in una casa da tè che un tempo veniva utilizzata per intrattenere gli ospiti del signore del castello.
La nostra prossima tappa sarà Yume Kyobashi Castle Road, una famosa via dello shopping con recinzioni nere e muri bianchi. Qui avrai tempo per il pranzo e un po' di shopping. La regione è famosa per il wagyu di prima qualità e numerosi negozi vendono prelibatezze preparate sotto forma di crocchette, spiedini, pentole calde e altro ancora. Sentiti libero di chiedere consigli alla tua guida o lascia che il tuo naso apra la strada. Ma non dimenticare di lasciare spazio al dessert più avanti nel tour!
Ci dirigeremo verso il quartiere dei canali di Omi Hachiman, dove potrai navigare lungo gli storici corsi d'acqua mentre ammiri le viste pittoresche della città castello. Gli amanti del cinema potrebbero trovare familiari i luoghi d'interesse poiché questo luogo viene spesso utilizzato in drammi e film storici. Naturalmente, la tua guida sarà disponibile per aiutarti a scattare foto che faranno invidia ai tuoi amici e alla tua famiglia. La nostra ultima tappa sarà La Collina. Questa pasticceria è in parte riserva naturale e in parte parco a tema. È circondato dalla natura e serve una grande varietà di dolci stagionali popolari. Originariamente una panetteria, i proprietari hanno sviluppato un profondo apprezzamento per gli ingredienti naturali e hanno così deciso di trasformare il loro negozio in una riserva naturale dove poter coltivare i propri ingredienti ed essere in sintonia con le stagioni. Il negozio è stato descritto come Ghibli nell'aspetto ed è un'ottima posizione per gli amanti della fotografia. Naturalmente anche i dolci sono da non perdere.

Kim was an amazing tour guide for our day trip. She adapts to your needs and makes the experience feel personal and comfortable. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the area, and she’s also very kind and enjoyable to be around. Kim gets along wonderfully with children too, which made the trip even more relaxing and fun for our family. Also, a special shoutout to our driver, Nakanishi, who was professional, friendly, and made the journey smooth and comfortable. Highly recommend!

We had alot of fun exploring many awesome places with Kim really good guide shared with us alot of informations regarding places history and culture. Amazingly there were just the two of us for this trip, guided by knowledgeable and foresightful Kim. Although the boat trip was good, the gentle walk round the superb Castle Garden was the best.

Booking process, easy. Driver (it was Mr Kondo) and guide (Ms Kim): good, friendly, punctual, knowledgeable. Van, clean and comfortable. Our excursion: Hikone Castle, Omi Hachiman. Lots to see. Lots of photo opportunities. Lots to learn from our guide. Had good lunch (excellent Unagi). Did we enjoy it? Yes. A lot. Do we recommend it? Oh yes, definitely.
