Fai un passo nel passato e vivi la vita nel Giappone rurale mentre cammini sul sentiero Nakasendo da Tsumago-juku a Magome-juku in questo tour per piccoli gruppi con trasporto di andata e ritorno da Nagoya. La tua Guida esperta ti condurrà attraverso la storica città di posta di Tsumago, lungo il sentiero Nakasendo di 8 km, oltre cascate e fauna selvatica, e nella splendida città di posta di Magome. Negozio di artigianato fatto a mano e gustare piatti locali. Questo tour premierà coloro che amano prendere la strada meno battuta e godersi un'esperienza avventurosa nel cuore del Giappone. **Un'opzione non escursionistica di questo tour è disponibile per le persone che non sono in grado di fare escursioni o preferiscono un ritmo più tranquillo.

Itinerario
Dopo una breve sosta in un punto di ristoro lungo la strada per sgranchirci le gambe, arriveremo alla città di posta di Tsumago-juku. Qui la tua guida spiegherà la storia e il significato dell'area e del sentiero Nakasendo prima di iniziare la nostra escursione.
Inizieremo quindi la nostra escursione lungo il sentiero Nakasendo, una delle cinque antiche strade che collegano la capitale de facto di Edo (Tokyo) con altre regioni del Giappone. Il sentiero era più importante durante l'era Edo. Oggi, la maggior parte dell'originale Nakasendo è andata perduta nel tempo o convertita in moderne autostrade e linee ferroviarie. Tuttavia, la sezione del sentiero che percorreremo rimane relativamente invariata rispetto ai tempi dei samurai. Vedrai anche segmenti del sentiero con ciottoli originali. L'escursione ti porterà anche vicino a due cascate: il luogo perfetto per riprendere fiato, sentire la fresca nebbia sul viso e fermarti per pranzo. Ricaricati, continueremo la nostra escursione oltre una casa da tè solitaria gestita da un volontario locale. Puoi fermarti qui per un sorso di tè o scambiare storie con altri viaggiatori.
Alla fine del trekking arriverete alla bellissima città di posta di Magome. Situata su un pendio, questa città offre viste mozzafiato sul paesaggio montano circostante e presenta una strada principale fiancheggiata da tradizionali edifici in legno. Ancora meglio, ci sono corsi d'acqua su entrambi i lati della strada e l'acqua che scorre veloce alimenta numerose ruote idrauliche. La città postale è ricca di negozi che vendono artigianato locale popolare e snack come ravioli oyaki, torte di riso gohei-mochi e gelati. Ti consigliamo di cercare alcuni oggetti in legno realizzati con alberi locali, molti dei quali sono estremamente profumati e, cosa altrettanto importante, piccoli e facili da trasportare a casa. Naturalmente, la tua guida sarà disponibile per aiutarti a scattare foto che faranno invidia ai tuoi amici e alla tua famiglia.

We did the route as a family; Israel was very good with experiences and anecdotes. It was very fun and patient since we were doing the route with children. Nakanishi, the driver, took us very well.

An unforgettable experience where we saw some incredible landscapes. Additionally, our guide Israel was charming; he explained everything with incredible kindness and professionalism, and we would definitely do a tour with him again. Nakanishi, our driver, was also very attentive and kind throughout the journey.

It was a great day. Our guide Kim was very knowledgeable about the history of the 2 towns and everything around it. She kept a good pace and waited if needed. Very positive and willing to answer any questions. If you like hiking and history and seeing something other than the big cities in Japan I would definitely recommend! Also our bus driver was great!

We had a great time on this hike with our guide Kim. We came as a group of 5 with the total tour group being 12 people. Kim was fantastic and explained the history behind the area and frequently pointed out great photo spots. At the end of the tour during town exploration she even assisted with ordering food from stands in the area. Our driver Fujita-san was also great and made the drive over very pleasant. Highly reccomended.

The Nakasendo Trail has been on my bucket list for a while. We were so glad to have found the hike through Snow Monkey Resorts vs trying to figure out the way ourselves. The pickup/drop off in Nagoya went smoothly thanks to the clear instructions. Our guide Amir was terrific — very knowledgeable and patient -- skillfully managing the diverse needs and expectations of the different people in our group. We learned not just about the history of the Nakasendo Trail but also about Nagoya. Highly recommend! The only thing that I would suggest is to bring tools to counter the heat (hats/umbrella/cold towels, etc.). We happened to do the hike during a heat wave in May and it made the activity far more challenging than expected.

Summers in Japan are very hot and humid and it is something that many travelers are not prepared for.
