Da Lisbona a Coimbra, fermate a Óbidos, Alcobaça, Batalha e Tomar

Scopri i 3 grandi monumenti iscritti nella lista del patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO. Dopo il ritiro a Lisbona, ci dirigiamo verso il villaggio medievale di Óbidos, dove puoi attraversare l'intera cinta muraria, perderti nelle innumerevoli stradine a forma di labirinto e finire per assaggiare la famosa Ginja de Óbidos. Quindi, ci dirigiamo ad Alcobaça per una sosta al Monastero di Santa Maria de Alcobaça per visitare anche le tombe di D. Pedro e Dª Inês, protagonisti della più grande e tragica storia d'amore del Portogallo. Dopo la visita, ci dirigiamo a Batalha, dove ci fermiamo al simbolo dell'indipendenza del Portogallo, il Monastero di Santa Maria da Vitória. Continuiamo verso Tomar dove visiteremo il Castello di Tomar, il Convento di Cristo e l'Acquedotto di Águas Livres. Terminata la visita, ci dirigiamo verso la città di Coimbra, per fare scalo in un hotel da segnalare.

The highlight for us was our guide, Xavier. he went above and beyond what would one would expect, especially since we booked it with a misconception that it was a guided tour. it was not, it was only a transfer and that was our fault. Xavier took us to the areas that we signed up for and gave us knowledge of the stops as best he could. he was fun to be with, very accommodating. and showed us a good time while educating us also. he made the trip a better experience than we deserved.
Xavier picked us up at our hotel in Coimbra and took us on a delightful trip through the countryside, We had ample time to visit the Knoghts Templar castle along with several monasteries and convents. In addition he stopped so we could climb stairs and get a top level view of an aqueduct. Besides castles and monasteries we saw the big waves at Nazare and walked the streets of Obidos, If you don’t book your trip with Xavier you are depriving yourself of a great day in Portugal.
