Amazing tour by Dani and Claudio and I highly recommend it !!! Dani gave us a lot of valuable information about the places we were visiting, the flora and fauna and was very warm, caring and sweet and made the tour very enjoyable and memorable for me.
Even the bus driving was so long, but weather turned out great! Our tour lady was hiking with us all the way to the top hill, we had spetecular views there
We saw guanaco and rhea from the road but it would have been nice to stop and take pictures. I think El Chalten would be better explored by basing directly there for a couple of days.
Great excursion…be aware that it’s a 3 hour drive from El Calafate to El Chaltén. We were fortunate to have sunny weather. Enjoyed seeing the peaks from the Condor lookout and the wonderful waterfall. Glad I went. Probably would have enjoyed spending a few nights there to hike the area more. Definitely a must-see!
As long as you have the legs you have to visit it, there was snow and ice that complicated the paths, but what we were able to travel is worth it, and what we did not see is the excuse to return
Terrible experience, there is no hiking or 4x4 tour, they did not notify us beforehand and they made us take a tour that we had bought for the next day also to Chaltén but with trekking to the condor zero, lunch and visiting a waterfall, they made us cancel the trip. tour the other day because we were going to do the same one, I canceled and they did not refund my money arguing that I had booked the same tour twice when that was not the case, they never responded to the emails. A robbery and a terrible agency.
On a long journey, since from Calafate to the Chalten it is a journey of almost 4 hrs, which become very enjoyable xq the guide is telling you anegdotas and stories where you go, he makes a stop in La Lioness q is halfway, then once arriving at the Chalten, according to the tour you have chosen (I chose the one of hiking and boat) another 2 hrs of path, the roads are very beautiful and you can go taking many photos, so you have a clear day you have opportunity to see the Fitz Roy Glacier. Once you arrive you make a hike of about 1 hr, that is 6 hrs of journey to walk 1 hr ... the truth is worth it, as long as you enjoy nature and you like to be in it, the landscapes are unmatched, the boat trip, the hike everything is worth it, but if you prepare for a good trip on the bus.
Fun day! The hike was fun and once we were at the top the views were amazing. It was a long drive from El Calafete but our guide was terrific providing a lot of great history and info. The 4x4 part of the excursion was a bit misleading as there was not a true 4x4 adventure as we were expecting (four wheeling) but rather a 40 min ride in a van over some rough terrain to get to the start of the hike. Overall we would do this trip again!
