Noi di Howlanders consigliamo vivamente "Minitrekking Perito Moreno" per vivere la maestosità del ghiacciaio in tre modi diversi: Escursione sul ghiaccio sul ghiacciaio Perito Moreno. Scoprirai il ghiacciaio da vicino e ne vedrai le formazioni, i piccoli corsi d'acqua, le doline, i crepacci... Goditi la vista mentre la barca naviga lungo la parete del ghiacciaio. Apprezza la grande altezza del ghiacciaio, quindi guarda e ascolta i grandi pezzi di ghiaccio che cadono dal ghiacciaio. Itinerario
Il giorno prima dell'inizio del tour, la tua guida ti contatterà per conto della nostra agenzia (Howlanders), per comunicarti l'orario del prelievo presso il tuo alloggio a El Calafate, (a causa dei diversi orari di partenza del tour durante la mattinata). Una volta radunato il gruppo, ti dirigerai al porto "Bajo Las Sombras", che si trova a poche miglia (chilometri) dal punto panoramico del ghiacciaio. Se non selezioni il pacchetto che include il trasferimento, incontrerai il gruppo direttamente a Puerto Bajo Las Sombras, all'interno del Parco Nazionale Los Glaciares. Dal porto, prenderemo una barca e navigheremo lungo l'imponente parete sud del ghiacciaio Perito Moreno. Dopo lo sbarco, le guide ci organizzeranno in gruppi e inizieranno la breve passeggiata verso il ghiacciaio. La guida aiuterà quindi gli escursionisti con i ramponi, iniziando così l'incredibile trekking attraverso il ghiaccio di uno dei ghiacciai più impressionanti del mondo.
Per circa un'ora e mezza, il gruppo attraverserà il ghiacciaio con le nostre guide che ci condurranno su sentieri solidi e sicuri. Su questi sentieri, avremo l'opportunità di vedere le fessure, i mulini (doline glaciali) e le piccole lagune blu situate sul ghiacciaio. Durante il tour, la nostra guida ci informerà delle numerose frane glaciali, nonché della fauna e della flora endemiche della regione.
Sulla via del ritorno, attraverseremo la Foresta Magellanica, dove potremo godere di viste mozzafiato. Prima di tornare a El Calafate, avremo del tempo libero per goderci le viste spettacolari del ghiacciaio Perito Moreno dalle passerelle, concludendo così una giornata memorabile.

It was absolutely amazing! It was an easy hike, total time on ice about over an hour. Guide was very knowledgeable, let us have picture stops at several points during the hike. It was my first time being so close to the glacier, crevices, sink holes. Total hike was about 3 hours. A little surprise at the end of hike: whisky with glacial ice (or water if you prefer) was served at the end.

I really enjoyed mini trekking and seeing the glacier! It would have been nice if the trip was a little shorter. For example, two bathroom breaks I less than 30 minutes was excessive. Also, lunch at the welcome center instead of the Refugio would have been nice. However, I understand they were trying to manage bus and boat schedules.
