Questa crociera di 2 ore ti porta in un viaggio alla scoperta del fiume principale e dei suoi affluenti alla ricerca di fauna selvatica iconica tra cui uccelli molto ricercati (pescatori reali, aironi, garzette, bocca di rana tra gli altri) così come coccodrilli e serpenti. La crociera all'alba mette in mostra il fiume a è più pittoresco e sereno come la barca viaggia lungo le acque lisce del fiume Daintree. Le crociere possono ospitare un massimo di soli 10 passeggeri (con un'età minima di 6 anni) e sono personalizzate in base agli interessi dei passeggeri. La barca utilizzata è una nave “ibrida” unica che utilizza sia un fuoribordo regolare che un incredibile motore elettrico che crea meno disturbo consentendo viste eccezionali della fauna selvatica. Le crociere iniziano e finiscono alla rampa pubblica delle barche nel villaggio di Daintree. I trasferimenti NON sono possibili. Daintree Village è a 45 minuti da Port Douglas; più di un'ora da Cape Tribulation. Non ci sono mezzi pubblici per questa posizione.

Nice morning despite the rain causing some of the animals to hide. The Daintree boatman is knowledgeable and a nice guy.

Amazing trip. The day started with heavy rain so I thought we may be unlucky and not see much. I had particularly wanted to see a kingfisher as I had only seen 2 in 65 years. We actually saw 4 different types of kingfisher in the space on an hour including 2 Azure kingfishers doing a pairing ritual. Also saw snakes,frogmouth birds and a 2 month old crocodile. Murray is like an encyclopedia and can identify all calls and noises. Will definitely do again if we are in the area

What an incredible experience as a bird lover. Murray was exceptionally knowledgeable on all aspects of the river, and the cruise is a must if you are into birding or photography.

Great tour. He is excellent at spotting the all the different animals, he picks out different birds from their calls and he gives interesting information about the way the animals live and interact in the ecosystem. I’d recommend this tour on the Daintree to anyone who wants to experience what the region has to offer.

If you're a "Twitcher" and birds are your "thing" ... this is unmissable. Murray really knows his stuff.... If you're hoping to see salt water crocodiles, other reptiles; then pick your season carefully..... We're not "twitchers"... we were absorbed by the whole experience.... Was it worth such an early start.... Jury's out.
Thank you for your review but left a little confused and disappointed with your rating. You've suggested that you were absorbed by the whole experience but left a rating that is decidedly average. I can only attribute this to the absence of reptiles on this particular day. As noted directly on my TripAdvisor listed, crocodiles are indeed easy to find in the cool season and much more difficult in the summer. Hope to see you again in better conditions.
Murray made sure we had an enjoyable trip. He was obviously at one with the river and knew where to find the birds and reptiles. We were treated with the Papuan Frogmouth, Great Billed Heron and a pair of Spotted Whistling Ducks, just to name a few. The bonus was to see "Hook" the crocodile dragging a cow carcass down the river. The boat was very comfortable, and everyone had a view and could take photographs of the fauna seen. Well worth the trip.

Beautiful time of the day to be on the Daintree, looking for birds & other wildlife, the Boatman trip I highly recommend with Murray - very professional & he knows the Daintree & it’s wildlife - the boat was smooth & quiet & comfy. Went with my 2 sisters who aren’t Birdos, so when we still hadn’t seen a croc after 2 hrs, Murray offered an extra half hr, & that’s when we saw the big Croc & the Great- billed Heron, so everyone was delighted - thanks Murray!
Ha! And I think there might have been a pretty big sigh of relief upon finally finding a croc. Unfortunately the true is that crocs can get pretty difficult to spot over the warmer summer period as they can spend much more time unseen underwater. I’m glad one eventually showed up for you 😀
An experience of a lifetime. We saw nature, birds, and got a history of the area. This tour was recommended to me by a friend, and I am exceedingly happy I made the trip to do it. Couldn’t recommend the tour highly enough as someone who wanted to get a taste of daintree. Excellent all around.

Had an amazing experience with Murray on a morning cruise of the Daintree and Barratt creek. Murray is very knowledgeable and friendly, and got us all engaged and interested in the plants and animals along the river - even those of us who are not bird people! Murray has a keen eye and great control of his boat so was able to help us spot three types of kingfisher including the little kingfisher, as well as Orioles, friarbirds, black bitterns, shining flycatchers, Papuan frogmouth, striated heron, egrets, Shelduck, brahminy kite, two crocodiles, and many other critters. Very special experience and highly recommended.
