Fabulous experience. Mouna our guide was just so lovely. She was engaging , knowledgeable and taught us about shopping, the local language and the Medina. It’s worth knowing that this is an authentic experience and some travellers may not wish to see the chickens being killed infront of them. This aside we loved learning about the spices and making our own lunch. The salads were also beautiful and the whole experience was very enjoyable including enjoying a mint tea on the stunning roof terrace.
Chef Hanane and her sister Mounia were very kind! We made chicken tagine, Taktoka n Zaalok today, very delicious. Highly recommend to join it!
It was a great experience shopping with Mounia in Arabic. Later we were allowed to cook with Hanane. So nice and delicious. We can highly recommend it.....
Fantastic adventure doing some guided shopping of vegetables in the souks. Learning Arabic culinary terminology and preparing your own tajine with the professional help of the lady of Riad house herself. My daughter and I had a great time together and we had a very warm welcome.
Everything was great! We started with quick trip to the souks to buy our ingredients. Young lady tough us some Arabic words and we even ordered in Arabic! Later we came to Riad and other lady explained everything clearly and guid us to cook The best chicken tagin I ever had! When everything was on the stove they gave us mint tea which we drank on nice terrace. They also gave us some spices so we can cook it again at home. Highly recommend!
An authentic and enjoyable local cooking experience in an amazing location. Mint tea, tagine and salads made fresh. The host was a delight and we had the run of the Riad and rooftop whilst the tagines cooked.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Moroccan cooking class with the delightful Hanane at the Alriad. We made vegetable and chicken tajines with two warm salads: Moroccan and an eggplant salad after a shopping trip to the local souq for supplies. Her skilful eye on our cutting skills were helpful. She was good fun and relaxed.
Has such a wonderful time on this cooking class, our local instructor was wonderful and really helpful. The food we made was delicious and I really loved that we got to take home spices after the class! The riad the class was held in was beautiful and had a lovely rooftop anrea that we relaxed in whilst our tagines were cooking. Only negative would be that I would have loved a bit more information whilst we were in the local market buying ingredients.
We had a wonderful morning with Hanane and her team. We started by shopping in the Souks for our ingredients then back to the Riad where Hanane showed us how to make a traditional Moroccan tagine and some salads. We thoroughly recommend this experience.
We shopped with Mouna in the local market for the ingredients for a Chicken Tagine. We then went to the Alriad and met Hanane. We were served Moroccan tea in the sitting room and then Hanane explained the process of preparing the ingredients for the Chicken Tagine, Moroccan Salad and Zelok - it was delicious! I would recommend this activity with Intrepid.
