In my opinion, hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was the best way to experience this incredible wonder of the world. At 50 years old, I was a little worried that I might slow down a younger group, but our incredibly friendly and fun group, along with our experienced guides Jorge and Rubén, plus the friendly porters and cooks, were so encouraging, patient, and welcoming that those concerns disappeared immediately. Our knowledgeable local guides were the perfect ambassadors and teachers for this treasure of Peru. I learned so much about the Inca people, their incredible engineering, their culture, and the traditions of their local descendants. I left absolutely fascinated by this region and its history. Sharing this experience with such a professional team made the journey even more special. It is an adventure I will never forget. I highly recommend this experience with Cosmo Expeditions to anyone who wants to visit Machu Picchu the best way possible.
