After three incredible tours with Cathy's Tour Guide Agency, I can say with complete confidence that they are the BEST. Cathy planned every detail perfectly, but our final day in Beijing was truly the highlight of our entire trip. We specifically requested our amazing English-speaking guide, Diana, because we enjoyed our first tour with her so much that by the end of the day we felt like friends. She made us feel so welcome from the very beginning of our trip, and we couldn't wait to spend another day exploring Beijing together. Cathy worked around our airport pickup time and created the perfect itinerary. We never felt rushed, yet we saw everything we wanted. She was incredibly responsive throughout the planning process, accommodated our custom requests, and made everything effortless. A+++++ customer service! Diana arrived early at our hotel with her usual cheerful energy, which immediately set the tone for an unforgettable day. Our driver was kind and professional, and the luxury, air-conditioned vehicle was stocked with cold water, phone chargers, tissues, and every comfort we could have needed. Diana's English is excellent, and she has the perfect balance of sharing fascinating history while also making the day fun. She knew when to tell stories, when to answer questions, when to make us laugh, and when to simply let us enjoy the scenery. Our first stop was the breathtaking Summer Palace. It was absolutely beautiful. Then came one of my favorite memories from the entire trip. Before we knew it, the three of us were out on a small boat together, laughing nonstop while enjoying one of the most peaceful and scenic moments of our vacation. It was pure joy. Throughout the day, Diana kept us comfortable by finding cold drinks and snacks, sharing jokes, and teaching us so much about Chinese history and culture. Even though it was a long day, she kept it engaging from beginning to end. She was also incredible at taking photos and videos throughout the day, capturing candid moments we never would have gotten on our own. Instead of just taking a quick picture at the landmarks, she helped us create memories we'll treasure forever. Next we visited the Forbidden City. It was incredibly crowded, which isn't usually my favorite, but it is absolutely a must-see when visiting Beijing. One of the highlights was seeing so many locals dressed in beautiful traditional clothing. Diana helped us respectfully interact with several people so we could take photos together without ever feeling intrusive. Lunch was another unforgettable experience. We stopped in a traditional Hutong village where we enjoyed a private dumpling-making class followed by an incredible home-cooked meal featuring classic local dishes. My friend and I both agreed it was the best food we had during our entire trip. I can't wait to try making dumplings at home now! As if the day couldn't get any better, Diana remembered that I was hoping to find a traditional local toy for my children. On the drive back, she stopped at several toy shops and helped me find the perfect gifts to bring home. From Cathy's outstanding planning and lightning-fast communication to Diana's warmth, knowledge, humor, and genuine kindness, this was truly the perfect day in Beijing. One of the things I love most about Cathy's Tour Guide Agency is that they offer completely customizable private tours. Whether you want to visit the famous highlights or explore places off the beaten path, Cathy will build an itinerary around exactly what you want to see. I have already decided that I'll be using Cathy and Diana again on future trips so I can continue exploring all the parts of Beijing I haven't experienced yet. I honestly cannot recommend Cathy's Tour Guide Agency enough. If you're planning to visit the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Hutongs, or want to experience an authentic dumpling-making class, book with Cathy and ask for Diana if she's available. You won't regret it. They turned an amazing vacation into an unforgettable one.
Diana led us on a tour organized by Cathy. Diana knew so much history and has great English to explain it. She is so warm and funny that we felt like we had a knowledgeable friend for the day instead of a tour guide. Summer Palace was beautiful and relaxing with a private boat tour. We learned how to make dumplings and had the most delicious food of our entire trip. The rickshaw tour was a fascinating glimpse into hutong life. For two women traveling solo, Diana was the perfect guide. She knows just how to pose you for a photo, find clean bathrooms often, and always the air conditioned car with waters between stops!
My family took a fantastic day tour with Meto Tour, and it was phenomenal! Our tour guide, Cathy, Along the way she wove in tons of interesting tidbits of information on history, religion, culture, art and answered any question we asked. She loves her city and led us into an adventure filled with joy and laughter! Book with Meto, request Cathy and you will have an incredible day! She brought great energy, information and fun throughout the day. We toured the Forbidden Palace, went on a rickshaw ride along the river, walked through the summer palace and made dumplings in a Hutong, What a fantastic day! Highly recommend !
We’ve had a wonderful day with our tour guide Lisa. We went to the Forbidden City which Lisa helped explain the history of and was very knowledgeable. The history of it is so interesting and definitely worth the visit. After this we went to make dumplings for lunch. This was so much fun and delicious! They also provided a bunch of other meals and we had way too much food. After lunch we went to the Summer Palace which was beautiful. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to other foreigners visiting Beijing. Very much a highlight of our trip!

We went on an absolutely fantastic tour with Herbie! He was unbelievably informative, friendly and a delight to be around. We were so grateful for his ability to answer all of our questions. He gave us such an in depth perspective on Chinese history, culture and lifestyle, which we are immensely grateful for! He has truly made us appreciate and understand China in a way we would not have without him. He was also able to offer us many local recommendations that we never would have found on our own. Thank you so much Herbie for the most amazing day and lifelong experience we get to remember!

Very energetic tour guide. A lot of must see sights in a short notice while not skimping on information or sights. Make sure not to eat a big breakfast because you'll eat make more dumplings then you can eat. Car was very clean, airconditioned and had water on hand.
