I tour di un giorno possono sembrare lunghi, ma il nostro sembra più un'esplorazione giusta con tutto il tempo per sederti come preferisci con la maestosità dell'oceano - o trascorrere la maggior parte del tuo tempo vagando nella foresta mentre ascolti le onde che si infrangono sotto di te . Se scegli di camminare con noi nella foresta, la tua giornata includerà alcune brevi ma ripide escursioni a bassa quota.

Il viaggio verso la costa dell'Oregon avviene attraverso le lussureggianti foreste statali e della contea dell'Oregon e oltre due passi di montagna della Coastal Range. Potremmo fermarci in un punto panoramico, tempo permettendo.
Visitare Cannon Beach è un momento straordinario di ogni visita costiera; dalle splendide spiagge con caratteristiche spettacolari alle foreste pluviali, ai negozi di caramelle di acqua salata, gallerie d'arte e ristoranti di pesce: questa città ha tutto. Parleremo della storia: perché Cannon e non la spiaggia di "Cannons"? - e i popoli della tribù Clatsop e altri popoli costieri, come i Salish, che erano qui prima dei cannoni e del taffy. Daremo consigli per il pranzo. Ti daremo molto tempo per esplorare.
Lo straordinario scoglio che è stato protagonista di numerosi film, tra cui I Goonies degli anni '80, ospita anche numerosi uccelli marini. Visiteremo abbastanza vicino per scattare splendide foto: la roccia stessa è vietata in quanto area di nidificazione sensibile per murre e pulcinelle di mare.
Ecola è un paesaggio unico, una foresta pluviale costiera con abeti rossi Sitka e cicute occidentali, innumerevoli felci e piante di bacche e vita selvaggia proprio ai margini di Cannon Beach. Trascorreremo un po' di tempo qui, abbastanza a lungo per un'escursione fino al punto panoramico che si affaccia su un altro luogo delle riprese del film: le scene della spiaggia del film Twilight sono state girate qui. Se lo desideri, camminerai per 2-5 km nella foresta di Ecola.
Questa splendida spiaggia è apparsa in diversi film, tra cui Twilight e Point Break. La visiteremo come meta di un'escursione o come tappa speciale, a seconda del tempo e del gruppo.
La foresta statale di Tillamook fa parte delle numerose foreste statali e di contea che attraversiamo tornando a casa dalla costa dell'Oregon. Se ti senti attento, noterai molti dei fiori e degli alberi che abbiamo scoperto sulla costa, oltre a molte specie che non crescono così grandi da nessuna parte tranne che qui, nei passi di montagna ad altitudini relativamente più elevate.
Il museo del disboscamento sulla strada da e per la costa dell'Oregon è la tappa preferita per ammirare vecchi trattori e attrezzature, prendere un regalo nell'eclettico negozio di articoli da regalo e, se lo si desidera, provare uno dei loro famosi enormi panini alla cannella.

Shannon was an amazing guide. Her mellow personality mixed with her vast knowledge and passion for the area made for a highly memorable day. We got to sit back and relax while driving through the lush hemlock and fir forest all the way to the coast. Having a guide made the trip seem effortless. There is no way we would have known to make certain stops or learn the history of these places on our own. Shannon offered us plenty of breaks and, even though the day was long, it flew by without exhausting us.
We could not have asked for a better day! Weather was absolutely perfect for being on the beach and our guide Shannon went above and beyond to show us everything and give us plenty of background information without overloading us. She was funny and personable and made the trip very relaxing and enjoyable.
Beautiful trip! The tour guide was well educated and had a lot of good information. Loved the views - not a lot of hiking except across the beach!
The tour guide Carrie was great. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour group was very small, so we each could ask questions along the way and get them answered. The timing at each location was great and Carrie determined it would be best to visit haystack rock after lunch due to the tide timing. We were all glad she made that call because we got to experience the tide pools near the base of haystack and gained additional knowledge. This was definitely worth the money and time.
Such a great tour of the beaches! So beautiful! Carrie is such a great guide—so friendly, with all kinds of tips for things to see, what to eat (and not, on the trail), and lots of fun historical and local culture facts. She was very accommodating for all of us—even when we were slightly late, because we just didn’t quite want to leave the beach yet. If you can, try to check out the seastars and anemones in the tide pools near Haystack Rock.
Our tour guide Carrie was great. The tour was small ao we were able to ask specific questions along the way. Enough time was allowed at each location. I highly recommend this tour.
This was such a wonderful trip!! Carrie was an awesome guide who made us all feel like we were out with a friend for the day. I am not in the best shape and some of the hills slowed me down, but everything was doable and my group and Carrie were so patient and kind. And it was totally worth it for the beautiful views!!!
Our tour guide Carrie was super knowledgeable about Oregon, and this is the second tour I went with her. The sceneries are absolutely stunning, and you can get really tasty fish and chips locally at Tom’s during the lunch break. 10/10 would highly recommend.
Carrie was amazing - she gave us insider tips and was kind and friendly. Loved all the mini hikes. Beautiful! We saw a lot in a short amount of time.
