If you are looking for an incredibly fun experience where you also learn about the history and process of chocolate making, this is the workshop for you. Our teacher, Patricia, was extremely informative about each step as we created both milk and dark chocolate delicacies. She guided us with clear directions and a wonderful sense of humor. The protocols for cleanliness and safety were an important part of the experience. We each walked away with a scrumptious box of chocolates which we made ourselves and great memories to treasure from our trip.

Belgium is known for chocolate and this class lived up to expectations. Between making our own chocolate and tasting the chocolate throughout the process, made this an amazing class. They are bean to table chocolate shop which makes it more special

I was pretty underwhelmed with the experience given the price. For €90, we only got to taste a few chocolates and the intermediate products & then decorate 2 chocolate bars to take home (I just got a glass of champagne & an apron for the “VIP upgrade”). The bean to bar framing really oversells it & it should probably be called chocolate making workshop. This could be a good activity for families & kids, if you can find it at a discount.

We are sorry the experience did not meet your expectations, but we would like to clarify an important point. “Bean-to-bar” is not a marketing framing: it describes what we actually are. We are a genuine bean-to-bar chocolate maker and produce our chocolate ourselves from cacao beans inside our Brussels factory. During the workshop, we explain the complete process and let participants taste cacao and chocolate at different stages. Producing an entire batch from raw beans during a 90-minute workshop would simply be impossible, as the process takes many hours. The VIP upgrade is also clearly described before booking: it includes priority access, an apron and a glass of sparkling wine. It does not include a different workshop programme. We completely accept that the experience may not represent good value for everyone. However, we respectfully disagree that our description “oversells” the experience. The programme and VIP inclusions are clearly stated before purchase, and we deliver exactly what is advertised.
Thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate workshop. Learned more than we expected and the chocolate eating was divine.

My teenage son and I booked on and had a brilliant time. There were 8 of us in the session, we all made lots of chocolate to take away and had a useful lesson in the life of a chocolate from bean to bar. The 20% discount in the shop after was a nice touch. Apparently they might be coming to London next year... happy days!
