Ci ritroviamo al Waffle Heritage (Rue Lebeau 25), dove l’esperienza inizia con una degustazione di cialde accompagnate da caffè o tè.
Qui ascolterai e incontrerai di persona il GOAT belga, eletto dai belgi nel 2000.
La nostra guida ti incontrerà proprio di fronte al cancello principale del municipio. Da lì ti guiderà intorno alla piazza per descrivere e decodificare i simboli sulle diverse facciate: Municipio, Casa del Re, Casa dei Duchi e molte altre case importanti che hanno ospitato nomi importanti come Victor Hugo o Karl Marx.
Perché questa fontana di ragazzo che fa la pipì sia diventata così importante non ha sempre senso. Mentre ti godi un waffle caldo, la nostra guida ti spiegherà tutta la storia oltre a questo misterioso ragazzo. Nonostante le sue dimensioni deludenti, inizierà a piacerti e ad apprezzare anche mentalmente il nostro belga.

Questa cattedrale è un monumento da visitare durante il tuo soggiorno a Bruxelles. Nonostante la sua sobrietà, le sculture e le vetrate di questa luminosa chiesa ti stupiranno. La Sedia della Verità è considerata un capolavoro della scultura in legno del XVII secolo.
In questa parte della città ti sentirai più come Parigi o Vienna. Our guide, François, was very informative, without bombarding us with information. As well as that, he was very conscious of the scorching weather and kept us in the shade for the large majority of the time. The waffles provided upon entrance are very good, along with the chocolates too.
We did the 10am tour with Clemens - who is an incredible guide. He is filled with knowledge, connects stories well to other references, and has a good sense of humor. The chocolates we tried on the tour and the learning of how chocolate is made in Belgium has forever altered my cacao palette. We certainly left this tour with an education that'll last a lifetime! The tour was 3 hours, totally worth the cost as there was something for everyone to enjoy during the walk. Our group size was reasonable (approx 15) and the weather was perfect that morning. The old town square is a sight in of itself to behold - but the historical context made it that much more enjoyable.
We had a great time on this walking tour. We learnt all about Brussels, from its history to its most iconic celebrities. Our tour guide Clemment was both informative and inclusive. Would definitely recommend as a ‘must do’ as soon as you land in the area. Particularly if you want to ensure you can identify the best quality chocolates to purchase for your family and friends back home.

The waffles were amazing and Ian knew what he was talking about. He showed us amazing sites and we had two more treats after the waffles.
Geoffrey is a very friendly guide who knows his city and its history well and does not count his time. His colleague is also very friendly and helped us discover the art and history of the waffle. The products to taste (waffles, speculoos, and pralines) are very good. So thank you!

This was such a great intro tour to Brussels. Sarah was a great tour guide. She showed us all the great places to get chocolate and waffles. Saving us time and money from going to the other shops around. She was also funny and presented the historical facts with some flare. The waffles in the beginning made by the gentleman were delicious. It was great to learn and even try a bit of the Belgian and beer waffles before our walking tour. I highly recommend taking this tour. Especially if you love chocolate and waffles!
I went on this as a sporadic solo adventure and had an absolutely amazing time!! Clemens was the BEST tour guide, so charming and knowledgeable. Made the group feel so welcome and created a friendly environment where we all started chatting with one another as we were going around the city. Had free waffles and chocolate while seeing great views and hearing the great history of Brussels. What more could you ask for?
