I booked the VIP experience for 150$ USD. If you’re traveling solo, be aware that you will sit on a sun chair all 8hrs while you’re there. This information was not disclosed to me when i bought this experience. They only told me this at check in and tried to sell me a day bed for 300$ usd. The staff at the beach club were nice and helpful. Fernando and Jesus were both sweethearts. Fernando advocated for me to get a sun bed later. That was 4hrs later before they let me. Even though the bed was sitting there all along. Also be aware, the only thing included in the experience is welcome drink and lunch. Everything else, you will have to pay for! I didn’t know this also. Take a towel or a plastic bag with you on the speed boat otherwise, your clothes and hair will get ruined from the waves and water. Also for my my black people who enjoy R&B/ Afro beats, do not book the vip, it will be a waste because the vip only plays crazy sounds like we’re in Santorini. The regular side has all the vibes and turn up you’re looking for!
The boat ride over there was a little rough but overall a 10/10! The actual beach club was amazing. The food , the service and the atmosphere was top tier ! I would definitely go back!
I speak fluent English and minimal Spanish so take that in mind with my review also. Honestly, things seem to go so smoothly, from the port, to being directed on to the right boat to departure everything was smooth. Even the speedboat ride. We arrived there and were given a superstar reception. I was given a free drink upon arrival, and allocated a second row bed. Reggaeton/pop tunes were pumping all day which was just the vibe I was looking for. Lunch was delicious. There was a fun Zumba class. The water was pristine. I think I bought a water and red bull, was a bit exxy, maybe 40mil COP. Staff were very accomodating. I would go back for sure.
Very beautiful place!! I found the food delicious, the atmosphere was very good, you dance, drink, eat, and have a great time with a wonderful view! Simply spectacular 🤩🤩
I would recommend getting to the port super early . The liens can get very long quickly plus the earlier you arrive the better sunbed location you get. Upon arrival to bora bora you are greeted with a big welcome by the workers . The beach club was excellent very clean the food was excellent the music was fun and the beach absolutely amazing!
This excursion starts “early” at 7:30am. Which really means you get there at 7:30am to wait in two lines (one to pay the ferry and port fees and one to get your Bora Bora wristband for a ferry). We did not get on our ferry until 8:45am (the second ferry out). As you wait for your ferry, the up charges for the excursion begin. $30 to pick a cabana in the front, which in all honesty is 100% worth it. An extra $100 for the VIP area, I did not purchase this so can only speak for the beach club area. They pack the ferries with 45 people per ferry. On our particular day, there was terrible weather, which this excursion cannot control. However, they can control the conditions they put us through for our safety and wellbeing. They took us out on this “45 minute” excursion which ended up being closer to an hour in treacherous weather. We had hard pelting rain and really tough waves with lots of hard landings. There was sea water coming onto boat and hitting our faces hard, the wind was ridiculous, we were literally in a tropical storm. Then when we arrived, we docked at the back end and had to hike 20 minutes through the island to get to the beach club. We thought “ok great now we get to relax, dry off, and have a good time.” Wrong. We were seated for another 45 minutes and separated into VIP/regular. We did get welcome drinks, only alcoholic, no non-alcoholic options. But then we sat and waited. You order your meal at this time too. Then around 10:30am we got our cabanas. During the whole time at the cabana, the team bombards you with several additional purchases. This includes drinks and snacks (which is expected), spa treatments, hookah, jewelry, clothing, and lastly to book a reservation for sister restaurant on mainland. It’s insane how much they push to sell and the time for relaxing is quite minimal. The one person we never saw was our “attendant” even when we went looking to ask what time lunch is. Lunch was really good, the fried fish is delicious. The DJ is great but unfortunately both the VIP area and beach club DJ are nearby so it’s two different tracks at the same time. This can be annoying but honestly the music was good. Now the beach itself is really pretty, but you NEED water shoes; the rocks are crazy and will cut your feet bad. Of course, they sell on the island if you need but prices are high, so just bring your own. We left this island around 2:30pm so in total had about 4 hours of “enjoyment” but we couldn’t wait to leave.
I loved It!!! I would book this excursion every time. The private beach was a big change from the locals. You are not being harassed from the vendors to buy anything and I loved it!!! My only complaint is that it’s very rocky in the water‼️ You should wear water shoes so you don’t hurt your feet!!!
We give Bora Bora 3 stars. Overall, we enjoyed our day, but there were several disappointing aspects that prevented it from being a great experience. The biggest issue was that the day ended much earlier than expected. We were picked up around 8:00 AM and were already leaving by 2:30 PM. The advertisement stated that the experience would last until approximately 4:00–5:00 PM, so we felt disappointed and rushed. We barely had enough time to relax and enjoy everything the resort had to offer. The staff were friendly and polite, but there seemed to be a lot of confusion regarding the “welcome drinks” that were included. We were told we would receive our cocktails later, but in the end we were simply brought the bill to pay. It felt like even the staff were unsure about what was actually included. Because the day ended so early, we didn’t have time to enjoy additional drinks, order more food, or even book a massage. We were fully prepared to spend more money and enjoy the facilities, but the experience was over before we had the chance. Another issue was the lack of privacy. While we were relaxing on our VIP beach bed, photographers came and set up a photoshoot right next to us. They placed some of their equipment and personal belongings directly on our mattress. The lady later apologized, which we appreciated, but this really should not happen, especially in a VIP area. We paid extra for a front-row bed specifically to enjoy the beautiful view and relax in peace, yet we were constantly disturbed by people working only a few feet away from us. It took away from the experience and made it difficult to fully enjoy the atmosphere. Overall, Bora Bora has a beautiful setting and the staff are kind, but the experience felt much shorter than advertised and lacked the level of service and privacy we expected.
Unforgettable place, the best experience, beautiful and high-quality people. The tour and resort staff were always attentive to us.
Edwin, the best host; we are very happy with his attention and grateful for his spectacular service. This is the kind of people that makes Colombia great and our tourism a wonderful experience.
