Gary the tour guide is very knowledgeable and gives very good commentary, combined with extremely informative stories and articles relating to the war in Darwin and how close the Japanese came to taking over Darwin.
An awesome tour. Gary was extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour.
Very informative tour, Gary was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this tour 10/10
I've always maintained the best way to learn about a pace you visit is through a local and Garry was no exception to this. The iconic Aussie tour guide. Very knowledgeable with a story for everything so you get to learn more than you might read in a tour guide. We booked very last minute and he was able to accommodate the three of us. He even did a small detour with the group to show us where the old Vesty's factory used to be as we had a family connection. Garry's tour didn't stop for us after he dropped us home. We were able to learn that a relative of ours, who was a nurse on the hospital ship hit during the Darwin bombing, was killed through Garry's book. A truely enjoyable and enlightening experience. Thank you.
Thankyou for your nice review Melanie. I also loved your connections to Vesty's and also now the nurse. Cheers, Garry
Great day. Well read and informed tour guide.
Thankyou Bevan. Cheers, Garry
Thought description was misleading - includes entrance fee not fees as only went to one place. Provides refreshments was a few lollies, no water or anything else was offered. Was in car whole time when could have easily got out at wharf, heritage house or esplanade for stretch, take photos and to see more clearly what Gary was talking about. Gary is wealth of knowledge who knows his stuff but at $280 for us we’d expect a little more
Thanks for your feedback Gretl. Will take this on board. Regards Garry
Garry knows his stuff. Well researched and delivered with plenty of personal antidotes and stories. Good laugh and a true Darwin experience Pre prepared fruit special touch. Thanks for the tour.

Incredible morning spent with Garry learning about the bombing of Darwin, cyclone Tracy & general history of the town - was amazing! Garry kept us entertained with stories, photos & sightseeing scouting out locations. He's passionate about the subject & draws you in too. Can highly recommend.
Thankyou Kaye for your nice review. Regards Garry
Very informative tour and delivered with a sense of humor. Garry is an iconic Australian Tour guide. Lots of local information on Darwin we would have not otherwise known. The Aviation Museum is also a must do.
