Golden Gai è a pochi minuti a piedi dall'uscita est della stazione di Shinjuku, tra l'ufficio della città di Shinjuku e il Santuario di Hanazono.[6] La sua importanza architettonica è che offre una visione del passato relativamente recente di Tokyo, quando gran parte della città somigliava all'attuale Golden Gai, soprattutto in termini di vicoli estremamente stretti e minuscoli edifici a due piani.
Kabukicho è un famoso quartiere dei divertimenti noto soprattutto per la vita notturna orientata agli adulti. Piccoli club, pub fumosi e snack bar aperti fino a tarda notte sono stipati nei vicoli illuminati dalle lanterne di Golden Gai. Il Robot Restaurant ospita cene kitsch con spettacoli di fantascienza, mentre i gruppi rock suonano al Marz e all'Ashibe Hall.
Il Santuario Hanazono è il santuario shintoista più importante nelle vicinanze della stazione di Shinjuku. Il santuario si trova adiacente alla conigliera di Golden Gai.

Il negozio Don Quijote Kabukicho si trova all'ingresso di Kabukicho, il più grande quartiere dei divertimenti del Giappone, con una concentrazione di ristoranti, minimarket che vendono generi alimentari, giocattoli, calzature e altri articoli per la casa.

Naoto was amazing! I was running late so instead of metro I had to catch a taxi to the meeting point. He was kind enough to send me photos of the location point to show the driver “Tounan Guchi” 東南口 which the driver knew exactly where to drop me off. I learnt some history and culture while we visited different places to eat, in which all the food locations were just Oishī. We did the famous Shibuya crossing of course, and he took me to this look out where you can see part of the crossing from above. And he also took some pictures and videos of me during the tour. I was heading back to my hotel using the metro for the first time by myself, so listening to his guide helped. The metro can be daunting for your first time. If you are ever in Tokyo and it is your first time to Japan like me, I highly recommend this tour and Naoto. ah-ree-gah-toh goh-zah-ee-mahs Naoto! kind regards Nelson

Chisato was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable about the area as well as the food. We tried many new items I hadn’t had and saw some sights that I would not have thought of. I really enjoyed the history of the areas we went to, like Golden Gai

The tour is amazing and is inclusive of food and drinks. The guide, Mr Kato added the finishing touch to it. Mr Kato was patient and and knowledgeable. He answered many of my questions with regards to the food and history of the place. Will definitely engage him again when I'm back in Tokyo. Cheers!!!!
