What can i say about Han and our story of the day. He got us ; friendly loud South Africans. Laughed with us, talked to us like old friends. He knew so much; short cuts; photograther. He was the best guide yet. Had a coffee break; and went to lunch with him in this amazing restaurant. Perfect food; perfect guide. THANK YOU HAN. till next time.
Thank you for the wonderful tour! Han was my guide and his passion and admiration for the Basilica Cistern made the experience truly special. He spent an hour to explain the site and then we had free time to explore on our own. It was a privilege to explore this incredible piece of history with your expertise.
You are very much welcome Always. And Thank you so much for your wonderful words! It was a real pleasure sharing the Basilica Cistern with you. I’m always happy to share my passion for this magical place—and even happier when my guests enjoy it as much as I do! 😊 It was lovely meeting you, and I hope Istanbul gave you many more great memories. 👍🙏🧿🇹🇷
Han was a great guide! He was very informative and had great energy. He also helped us see a little more of the surrounding area. We recommend him!
Thank you so much for your kind words! It was a pleasure showing you around and sharing a little more of Istanbul with you. I’m very happy you enjoyed the experience and the energy! Hope to see you again someday. 👍🙏🧿😊🇹🇷
Han was just super exceptional & special. Very friendly accommodating and super knowledgeable. Very highly recommended tour guide if visiting Istanbul.
Dear my friends, Thank you so much for your wonderful words! It was a real pleasure meeting you and sharing a little of Istanbul’s history with you. I truly appreciate your kind recommendation and hope to see you again in Istanbul! 👍🙏🧿😊 🇹🇷
We had a wonderful Basilica Cistern experience with Han! He was very knowledgeable, had great English, and was accommodating when taking photos of our group during the tour. We had a 6:30pm booking - perfect time to go! No crowds!!! Thank you Han for showing us this amazing Turkish gem.
Thank you so much for this lovely review! 😊 It was a real pleasure having you with me and showing you around this incredible hidden gem beneath Istanbul. I’m especially happy you enjoyed the 6:30pm timing — sometimes the best way to experience the Basilica Cistern is when the crowds have disappeared and the columns can finally have a little peace and quiet! 😄 And of course, I’m always happy to be your group photographer too — guide, storyteller, history nerd… and occasional photographer! 😂📸 Thank you for trusting me with your Basilica Cistern experience. I hope the memories stay with you for a long time, and I hope to see you again in Istanbul! 👍🙏🧿 🇹🇷❤️
Han made this tour of the Basilica Cistern come to life in many ways. His use of visuals such as his tablet added lots of visual context as we walked through the cistern. In addition to the incredible engineering by the Romans, Han’s application of humor throughout the tour created an engaging experience. This is a must do with Han!
Thank you so much! 😊 I’m really happy that my tablet, stories, and a little bit of Han-style humor helped bring the Basilica Cistern to life! The Romans clearly did the hard work with the engineering… I just try to make sure nobody falls asleep while I’m explaining it! 😂 It was such a pleasure having you with me, and “a must do with Han” is definitely going straight into my favorite compliments! 🙏 I hope you’ll come back to Istanbul — there are still plenty of stories waiting for you… and I promise to bring even more jokes next time! 👍🙏🧿🇹🇷
From the pickup to the end of the experience Han was super helpful and provided us with a lot of information. Observing the other guides inside the Cistern as well, I believe he is the most organized and almost certainly his tour is the most interactive. Han brings a tablet with him where he shows photos, videos, and very interesting off-topic facts that you wouldn't have been able to know with normal audio guides. For an immersive experience in the history of the Cistern, I highly recommend it.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! 🙏 It truly means a lot to me. I’m very happy that you enjoyed the interactive side of the experience and found the photos, videos and stories on my tablet interesting. I always try to make the history of the Basilica Cistern come alive rather than simply telling facts. It was a real pleasure meeting you and sharing the mystery and history of this incredible place with you. Thank you also for your strong recommendation! I hope to see you again in Istanbul someday. 😊 Grazie mille, davvero grazie di cuore! ❤️🇮🇹 All the best, Han 👍🙏🧿
Han ensured a great experience from beginning to end. He started by accommodating our group of nine—two families traveling together with teens and college-age children—even though the site normally had a group-size limit. He was also very flexible with the start time, as we were still finishing drinks at our meeting point, and he never made us feel rushed or shortened the tour as a result. Getting tickets was smooth and quick, and fortunately the site wasn’t crowded. Throughout the tour, Han offered different perspectives on the significance of the place, including its connection to world cinema, which was an interesting and unexpected addition. At the end, he even had a little treat for each person in our group—a thoughtful touch. Overall, a great experience and a guide who went out of his way to make the visit enjoyable for our whole group.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you and your group had a wonderful experience from start to finish. It was a pleasure to accommodate your group and share the story and significance of the site with you all. I'm glad you enjoyed the little treats and different perspectives during the tour. Your feedback truly means a lot, and I hope to welcome you back again someday! 👍🙏🧿
Fantastic experience. Highly recommended. Nice, kind, and knowledgeable guide.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was a real pleasure having you on the tour. I’m very happy that you enjoyed the experience and found the tour both informative and enjoyable. I truly appreciate your recommendation! 😊
The guide led us in line, very quickly, bought tickets, he had text general information in Russian about the Baslik Cistern. We know English and then he told us all the information in it. Showed a diagram of the tank and explained clearly where and what was. The cost of the service for two is very reasonable! The guide, polite and friendly, the next day, when I had further questions about the Cistern, gladly told everything. Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was truly a pleasure to meet you both and show you the Basilica Cistern. I’m very happy that you enjoyed the tour and found my explanations clear and helpful. I’m also glad I could answer your questions the following day. For me, being a guide is not only about giving information during the tour, but also about making sure my guests leave with a great experience and feel free to ask anything they may wonder about afterwards. Thank you again for your kind words and for choosing my tour. It was a pleasure having you as my guests, and I hope to welcome you back to Istanbul one day! 👍🙏🧿❤️🌟
