Escursione fuoristrada in veicoli 4x4, con la quale è possibile accedere ai punti più alti della città, e ottenere così incredibili viste panoramiche su El Calafate e sul Lago Argentino. Due partenze giornaliere: 10:00 con pranzo o 14:30 con spuntino Escursione di mezza giornata.

Itinerario
L'escursione inizia con il pick up presso gli hotel e prosegue con il veicolo fino alla collina Huyliche, salendo per 35 chilometri sulla linea collinare dietro il villaggio. Da lì, la 4WD ti porterà fino a 900 metri verso una geografia millenaria e gli angoli migliori della collina Huylliche. Da lì, arriverete a uno spettacolare punto panoramico, dove vedrete la città di El Calafate e il corpo principale del lago argentino, circondato dalla mistica steppa della Patagonia. Puoi trovare una grande quantità di fossili e, se è una giornata limpida, puoi osservare il Fit Roy Mount; inoltre puoi vedere condor andini molto vicini a te. La prospettiva da lì è indimenticabile e vedrai la catena delle Ande, l'ingresso del ramo nord del lago argentino, alla scoperta di un paesaggio glaciale. La 4WD prosegue fino a 1060 metri, dove si trova il labirinto di rocce del Cretaceo con piccoli fossili incastonati nelle sue pareti.
Poi ci rechiamo al nostro rifugio situato in un luogo strategico al riparo dal vento, tipico rifugio di montagna dove offriamo uno spuntino o un pranzo (a seconda dell'opzione scelta). Arriverete alla città di El Calafate dopo tre ore di una fantastica esperienza geologica e avventurosa.

Great walk. Panoramic view of the city. We saw the vegetation from close. The included lunch was perfect. We did with Patagonia Extreme. The guides Ezekiel and Jeremiah were great.

South Road within the Calafate area seem to supply the best trucks and vehicles. 4WD arrived right on time at my hotel and tour guide was Ruben. English was not perfect but good enough for conversations. He knew the private property and provided a greatv in-depth knowledge of the rock formations and glacial activity. Be warned .. bumpy tracks but that is 4WD driving. Stunning views at the top of the mountain of Calafate and the lakes. Weather was changeable and it did rain for a whole. Then back to the centre for a delicious lunch. I would really recommend this trip to anyone.

This was a really fun experience to see sights that we wouldn't have otherwise been able to access. While I was a little nervous when we first started driving (lots of bumps--it's off roading, of course) the driver was amazing and I felt perfectly safe. Our guide was wonderful, too, and did a good job explaining about the history and geography despite the microphone not working for him. Lunch was delicious and and filling! I would recommend!

I loved this trip in a beast of a 4x4. So informative about the early days of El Calafate too. Views were breathtaking and the ‘snack’ was anything but a snack….. it was a FULL afternoon tea with cakes, beverages and more on the estancia where I got to see horses and a beautiful calf. Thanks to our guide and super professional driver! Highly recommend

Most excursions are full day trips in CALAFATE, but this was the perfect half day excursion. The views were spectacular. And our host was very personable.

Ruben, our guide, made this adventure so enjoyable. He truly loves all his guests. We had a fun trip up the mountain with great views of El Calafate, Lago Argentino, and the snow-covered Andes. Then he made us a tasty lunch before heading back down the mountain to our hotel. We highly recommend this tour.

We take the 4x4 excursion to Balconies of El Calafate, Cerro Huyliche and Concreciones ("Mexican Hats") directly through the Service Provider, the Mil Outdoor Patagonia Enterprise. Good walk of three hours duration, which in our case allowed us to take advantage of the afternoon of the day of arrival (also recommended to take advantage of the morning of the day of departure). Driver Guillermo was a good driver of the vehicle and a friendly guide who not only provided interesting data from this ride but also very useful information for other excursions in the area. In total the group was composed of seven adults and we had a good time. I would not recommend this walk for families with children, I think the creatures may find it somewhat heavy.

Beautiful experience! It was our second visit to El calafate and with this excursion we found it even more beautiful than the first time. The landscapes and views are unforgettable. The driver and guide was excellent, with lots of information about the area, which he spoke about with passion... and transmitted it. We totally recommend to take this walk with All patagonia, you will not regret it.
