Naomi’s food tour was phenomenal. The walking distance was spot‑on — short, easy stretches with breaks in the shade, so you’re never roasting in the sun. The food portions were perfect for a tasting experience. If you’re expecting a buffet, skip this and head to Burger King or McDonald’s. This tour is about learning, not overeating — discovering local dishes, hearing the stories behind them, and understanding the culture that shaped Puerto Rican cuisine. Naomi excels at that. Even when she was delayed a few minutes because of protestors and parking chaos, she messaged ahead of time. Professional. Respectful. On point. Her passion is obvious. Naomi talks about Puerto Rican food and culture with the pride of someone who truly carries the island in her heart. She’s the kind of guide who elevates the whole experience. Extra points for the mofongo atop.

We wanted to tour Old San Juan and what better way than with food! Andres was knowledgeable about the history of Old San Juan and Puerto Rico. The food was varied and delicious! We started with a brunch of Puerto Rican coffee and a ham-and-cheese croissant with guava butter. After that, we revisited our youth and had passionfruit popsicles. The next stop was appetizers where we had Alcapurria and Ceviche. We loved this restaurant so much that we went back again for dinner later in our trip. The fourth stop was dinner of Mofongo de Pollo and Rice and beans. Not only did we eat dinner, we also were able to make our own mofongo, which definitely added to the adventure. It was here that we also had a delicious pina colada. We ended with the fifith stop for dessert of Budin with ice cream. This stop was on a roof top restaurant overlooking the bay. If you are looking for an Old San Juan tour while experiencing authentic Puerto Rican dishes, this is the tour for you!

Alberto was an amazing guide that brought so much excitement and engagement to the tour that everyone appreciated. He was so passionate about his country’s food, culture and history and I could spend an entire day learning from him. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to learn about Old San Juan while having great food. I also liked how the food came from mom and pop restaurants/establishments.

This was a great experience! We learned some history, saw a bit of the city, and had some amazing food....even got to make our own Mofongo! We had a group of 6 and everyone thought it was a favorite for the week!

What a great tour and a great way to start our trip to PR. Leslie was energetic, organized and informative from the check-in process and throughout the tour. It was a great mix of tastes, each was great. My daughter and I loved each of the stops and ended the tour pretty full while getting a bit of history along the way. It was great…and my 19yr old daughter has reviewed and co-signs this message.

Jesus was the absolute best! He was extremely knowledgeable regarding history and food in Old San Juan. The food was fantastic and the 3-hour tour was well worth the time and money! Making our own mofongo was also an enriching experience.
