Tour privato del Parco Naturale di Arrábida da Lisbona

Descrizione

Had an excellent day with Jose in Arrabida. We ventured to beautiful scenic places. We made the best of it even with some less than desirable weather. Jose was an excellent guide and would recommend again and again.
Highly recommended tour. Our guide, José, fulfilled our wishes perfectly. Good wine, beautiful beaches and first-class food in a restaurant with practically no other tourists, all included.
I cannot recommend a day with guide José Ribeiro highly enough. My husband and I were fortunate to have him as our guide for two very full, highly entertaining, and informative days (Sintra first, then Arrábida Natural Park). José is an energetic, multilingual Renaissance man with an encyclopedic grasp of Portuguese history and a zest for sharing stories and making new friends. He's very flexible and will custom- tailor your day based on your particular interests and desires. Our day in the Arrabida Natural Park was amazing -- gorgeous landscapes, stunning beaches, red snapper fresh off the boat, dinosaur tracks at Pedreira do Avelino, and a private tour of a factory where they hand paint and produce custom tiles using traditional European methods. We were also pleased that he took us to off-the-beaten track cafes and restaurants that he and his family enjoy. We found him to be a genuine, enthusiastic person who enjoys people and loves what he does. I do not doubt that our time with José will end up being one of the highlights of our 5-week to Portugal!
Had a private Arrabida half day tour with Jose a few days ago. Jose was prompt, polite, fun, and catered the tour to exactly what we wanted; sights, history, food, and more! Jose was generous with his time, recommendations, and jokes making for a great half-day trip. Only thing I would suggest to anyone looking to do Arrabida, is just go for the full-day if you have the time. We didn't feel rushed, but a ~4-hr time period is just not enough. Would highly recommend Lisbon on Wheels if you're able to get Jose as you're guide!
Me and my sister had a private tour with Jose which was excellent. Jose was very friendly, very knowledgeable, great company and made our tour special. He made sure we have seen what we have wanted to visit and also recommended us very nice Portuguese restaurant. I would definitely recommend
Our trip to Arrabida was absolutely terrific! Our guide Miguel made great efforts to show us both local spots as well as popular destinations, including a monastery with amazing views of the Atlantic. We enjoyed a visit to Sesimbra, a beach town, as well as a dazzling drive up the mountain for a fantastic views. We enjoyed a wine tasting as well as a visit to a local pastry factory. Miguel arrived on time and kept us at pace with our day. The van used was very comfortable. We highly recommend Lisbon on Wheels!
It was an amazing morning. José was our guide and he was very friendly and relaxed. We could choose where we want to go and we had enough time at all those beautifull places with amazing views. We even visited the Jesus statue on our way back. These Dutchies enjoyed it a lot and we would recommand the tour and especially José to everyone!
This was our second trip with "Lisbon on Wheels", the first being successful, but we had to work to get what we had paid for. We emailed the owner having returned to the Hotel about their itinerary for Arrabida trip: Albufeira lagoon - did not visit Praia das Bicas - did not visit Cabo Espichel - did not visit Church of Nossa Senhora do Cabo - did not visit Dinosaur footprints - did not visit Sesimbra Castle - had a pleasant visit Sesimbra village to enjoy seafood lunch - did not visit Portinho da Arrabida - did not visit Serra da Arrabida - yes, enjoyed lovely views Azeitao cellars - enjoyed our visit with tasting of red wine and muscatel, but no local delicacy. The owner response was to give us a Hal Day tour that covered most of the missed items, but, it meant giving up over half a day extra to cover what should have been covered first time. His explanation, was that the driver did his own thing. The extra trip did at least show us most of the items missed, but, the owner could not understand that his companies actions on the first trip could not simply be made good, just by taking us (in our own time) to what had been missed. He refused any money back from the ruined first tour. That's business as far as he was concerned !!!!! Message. Not only for this tour, but for any similar tour. They will offer you an amazing set of places to visit, but, they know that they can only visit some of what they promise in the time stated. You find this out when you are met by your driver or when like us, we are on the return to Lisbon having not seen most of the places promised.
Customers who do not pay their fare This review is an example of a lack of ethics, of respect for others and of bad faith. As a first example, on the Sunday tour we took the customers to lunch, and to our surprise we learned that these customers left the restaurant without paying for their lunch. It was hard for us to believe it. We were quite ashamed! We are also owed a € 103 tour. We admit to a mishap on the initial Arrábida tour, due to a discrepancy between what was offered and paid for and what the guide provided, but the client suggested that we do an extra half-day tour to compensate and in good faith, we agreed to do so: "... The part recompense for our disappointment would be possible for you to take us on Tuesday for half day tour to cover first 5 items on itinerary then return to Belem. These missing places were what I particularly wanted to see ... " In total, this couple got a total of13 hours and covered all the places that they did not visit on the first day and a few extra ones. In addition we also dropped them off in Belém, as per their request. On the day of the extra tour, the clients produced a listof the places they wished to visit, which was fulfilled with some extras. At the end of the tour they said that they had enjoyed it and appreciated our efforts. Later, and obviously on second thoughts, they ended up demanding a refund in full. That implied to us that the extra tour requested by the customers was a ruse and that their real intention was to ask for a full refund immaterial. This we find inadmissible and in bad faith. We quote: "Dear Nuno (Lisbon On Wheels), Although we enjoyed the tour with you on Tuesday morning, it required us to take a half day out of our precious time in Lisbon and shortened the time we were able to spend in Belem. We are not happy at all with Sunday's tour and are disappointed with what you said about a possible mix up of tours. We have looked through all the Arrabida tours you described on your website, and our experience on Sunday was not any of those tours. Maybe your driver took us on a tour that did not exist and used it as a way of spending time with another tour leader, rather than giving us a professional service. We request a full refund of the cost of Sunday's tour as the tour we booked was not provided. The day was not an enjoyable experience and we felt very upset that we had beented most of the day, which the trip on Tuesday did nothing to reward. I hope you will process the refund against the credit card as soon as possible. " As these clients already had the intention to ask for the refund whether the extra tour was carried out or not, we feel that adavntage was taken of our good faith. Notwithstanding the above, we agreed to refund, but we demanded the half day payment because that extra tour was not part of any booking. All the customers' requirements were fulfilled, both the extra tour and the refund. From the clients, we still await payment of the extra tour and restaurant bill. These are the tourists that nobody wants, whatever the country. They are never satisfied and think that they can demand the earth and take advantage of others without any scruple, with an absolute lack of ethics and respect for hard, honest work. They can ruin the reputation of credible companies with a thoughtless sleight of hand. We are disappointed and stand corrected in whatever it is that went wrong on our side, but this review is a teardrop in an ocean of 5* reviews.

Our guide Noro was great and took us to all of the best spots. We went to two beautiful beaches and had a delicious seafood lunch. The tour was private, which was cool, and he was very accommodating.
