Very enjoyable. For anyone who has an interest in martial arts japaneese swordmanship and culture then this is the trip for!!! The master was very skillfull knowledgable and overall fun guy.
The dojo master was amazing with his storytelling of the history of samurai and talking about the licensing for blades and then showing us the proper way to handle a sword like a real samurai, he was the best. Our tour translator was kind and very well spoken in how to translate to me and my son the best time ever
Our group recently participated in the Iaido Samurai Experience in Tokyo, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we booked, it was seamless and well-organized. Upon arriving at the dojo, we were warmly welcomed and provided with traditional Iaido jackets, immersing us immediately into the samurai spirit. The instructor was highly skilled and passionate, with a wealth of knowledge, guiding us through the fundamentals of Iaido with clarity and enthusiasm. A highlight of the session was the opportunity to practice real cutting techniques using authentic Iaido swords on tatami mats. This hands-on experience was both thrilling and humbling, offering a genuine taste of samurai discipline, precision, and skill. There was also an impressive collection of real armor and swords, adding depth and authenticity to the experience. This was awesome. Learnt more about the samurai culture through this workshop. Even got taught the dual wield technique which was a bonus. Highly recommend doing this.

My son had a great time. We had gone to another samurai experience he said that was fun too but thought that yours was an awesome 2nd experience. Being able to handle history and actually utilize a real katana was an experience he will never forget. I have spent a lot of time reading feudal Japan history and love it so when he was in histories presence, I was very proud that he found it as beautifully elegant as I do. Thank you so much!

We had a great time, we learned a lot about the history & heritage of samurai. It's clear how much the teacher appreciates passing his knowledge onto people. Seeing his collection up close was a big honor. The cutting at the end was fantastic and I was thankful he took time with our kids to help them succeed. We had a guide, Masahiro, who helped us in understanding what the teacher wanted to say & took photos on our behalf, as well as after class he suggested a great place for us to visit.
