Moschea della cattedrale di Bibi-Khanum: ammirerai la sua cupola azzurra e l'arco delle dimensioni della Via Lattea. La moschea di Hazrat Khizr fu ricostruita nel XIX secolo, sostituendo quella distrutta nel XIII secolo. La moschea originale in questo sito risale all'VIII secolo. Il complesso commemorativo Shakhi-Zinda è uno dei misteriosi monumenti architettonici di Samarcanda. Si ritiene che qui si trovi la tomba di Kusam ibn Abbas, un associato del profeta Maometto in persona. Scopriamo insieme le nostre bellissime città! Immaginerai i tempi in cui questi edifici fungevano da scuole religiose e centri scientifici, "leggerai" le trame delle facciate e semplicemente godrai della bellezza del complesso. We had a wonderful five-hour tour of Samarkand with Parvina. The tour was extremely informative, and we learned so much about the city’s fascinating history and beautiful architecture. Parvina was very knowledgeable, generous in sharing information, and patient in answering all our questions. She also took us for coffee, helped us shop for souvenirs, and shared many useful tips for the rest of our stay in Samarkand. The guide Fayoziddin was professional, courteous and timely. He is a very knowledgeable guy and answered all our questions with detail. As the walk progressed I had a good 1-2-1 conversations about the wider history and the various neighbouring kingdoms and rulers and made the dis jointed puzzle in my head complete.
