We had an absolutely amazing experience on our safari from Nairobi to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru! Everything was perfectly organized from beginning to end. The Lodges/hotels were beautiful, the food was great, and every person we met during the trip was incredibly kind and welcoming. A very special thank you to Lucy, who organized everything so perfectly. She always made me feel safe, was constantly checking in on us, and responded incredibly fast whenever we had questions or needed anything. Her communication and support throughout the whole trip were truly exceptional. And of course, a huge thank you to our driver and guide, Kikitu, he was absolutely AMAZING! He had the best energy, gave us so much information, amazing tips, and made the whole experience even more special and fun. We always felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. If you book this safari, definitely ask for Kikitu… he truly made our trip unforgettable! We saw incredible animals, enjoyed stunning landscapes, and created memories we will never forget. We highly recommend this company 10000000% and would absolutely book with them again when we come back to Kenya!

We had an amazing time on Safari with Savannah Woods. Calvin was a really good guide, we had fun and he was willing to adapt to all our wishes. Everything was arranged perfectly, the stays were also excellent. We would love to come back!

We did a group safari of Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru and a private safari of Amboseli and Tsavo West. Everything - since the beginning when we planned the trip - was perfectly arranged, on time and beyond our best expectations. The guides (David and Brian) were really amazing and we learnt a lot about wildlife. Lucy from Savannah was following our trip checking on us and I would recommend to anyone this tour operator!

Lucy was extremely communicative from the start. We had to cancel an earlier booking in August last year and postpone it to January due to health issues. Lucy was nothing but understanding - she even charged us less than the initial quote since we were going off season. The guide we were given in Masai Maara was also the best. He was super fun, very accommodating and gave us the best times and spots for pictures. The places to stay were amazing and super comfortable. I would totally go back with Lucy and Savannah Woods again :) recommend the team 10/10. We saw the Big 5 even though we went in January 😁

I had the chance to go on a 3-day safari in the Maasai Mara with Savannah Woods Safaris, and the experience was absolutely amazing! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish: transport, game drives, accommodation, and meals. The food at the camp was excellent and varied, which made the stay even more enjoyable. A big thank you to Lucy, who was always available, attentive, and caring. You can really feel that the team does everything to make you enjoy the experience to the fullest. Thanks to them, I had an unforgettable time in the heart of the savannah, in a safe and welcoming atmosphere. A truly amazing experience from start to finish. We were picked up in Nairobi by Kevin on day 1. He dropped us at the airport on Day 4. Throughout we were treated like kings. Kevin is an excellent driver and extremely knowledgeable about everything we saw. He was able to show us animals and experiences that were beyond anything we pictured we’d be able to see. We actually gained a greater appreciation for everything Kevin was able to do when we took a dawn balloon ride. While the ballon flight was well worth doing, we expected to see great amounts of animals from the air, but saw very few. This shows how skilled Kevin is at finding the truly spectacular sights. We really didn’t picture how close we would be to these animals when we booked this trip. On our way to the Maasai Mara, we stopped at a Maasai village where we were greeted warmly with dancing and learned about their culture. Working with Lucy was smooth and Savannah Woods was very accommodating as we booked everything via email and internet. She booked us into the Entim Private camp which was simply amazing. Fantastic views, spectacular food and their service was worthy of any 5 star hotel in the world. Nightly visits from hippos, elephants and lions rounded out the experience. Lunch beside an acacia tree out on the savannah was only topped by the last night’s “sundowner” where we enjoyed wine and snacks as the sun was setting. All arranged by Savannah Woods Safaris.

We had an unforgettable trip at the Mara with our guide Kelvin. He loves his job which made the trip more enjoyable for us. His knowledge on the animals of the Mara and even the bird species was great to experience. Equipped with a Camera, seats and a table, he chose the perfect spots for Breakfast and Lunch where he captured picturesque moments of us and the beautiful Savannah. Mara Sopa Lodge had great service and the food was good. We had a great time and we left with amazing memories! We will definitely recommend Savannah Woods and Kelvin to all our friends and families.

It was a great and pleasant experience dealing with Savannah. Lucy helped in all the arrangement in making this trip smooth sailing. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to postponed our trip, she was very understand and accommodating Our guide, Peter had an incredible ability to spot animals we never would have notice on our own. The game drives were interesting and fun. He was at his best to fulfill all request, and very patient in answering all our questions. That said, we experienced issue in time management. For both mornings we did not pick up on agreed time and there was no update. Despite this, we still had a great time with Peter and we enjoyed the services provided by Savannah.

I want to split my review into 3 part. First of all, Savana Woods is the real deal! A professional company with the best customer service I have seen! Lucy is just amazing! Always available, happy to help, proactive I am just speechless! I had issues here and there, she took care of every little thing I had with such patience and grace it was just pleasure! Second is the trip, highly recommended! We saw plenty of animals even on the low season, cheata hunting, plenty lions and lioness, elephants, giraffes, hippos and many more! Evans the tour guide was always helping, considering and fun. Third the mara sopa lodge was a good option in a good location, the food was great with many options and the food biz for the Safari day was also excellent! Thank you Savana Woods for an unforgettable experience!!

From the moment we decided to visit Masai Mara for our honeymoon and my wife’s birthday celebration, we wanted an experience that would be unforgettable. After looking at different options, we found Savannah Woods Safaris, and it was the best decision we made. Ms. Lucy took care of everything, from our pick-up in Nairobi to our drop-off, making sure every detail was perfect. We stayed at the beautiful Jambo Mara Lodge, where our rooms were decorated and we had a cake-cutting ceremony with Maasai warriors, who sang their traditional song for us. The surprises didn’t stop there! Ms. Lucy arranged a sundowner in the middle of the savannah where we enjoyed champagne while celebrating my wife’s birthday in an unforgettable setting - It was like a dream. Mr. Kelvin, our guide, made sure we had an amazing and safe safari. He helped us spot all the Big Five (we were lucky enough to see them all!) and shared his love for birds, showing us his bird log. Savannah Woods Safaris truly cares about providing an amazing experience, and it was worth every penny. I would definitely recommend them—don’t think twice, just book them and you’ll thank me later!
