Mentre il sole inizia la sua discesa all'orizzonte, le magnifiche dune dell'Erg Chebbi, a soli 50 km a sud di Erfoud, offrono un panorama davvero mozzafiato. La leggenda narra che una ricca famiglia locale fu sepolta sotto questi immensi tumuli di sabbia, come punizione per aver negato ospitalità a una povera donna e a suo figlio. A 160 metri, queste dune si innalzano maestose sopra le città gemelle di Merzouga, mostrando una splendida tonalità oro rosa che brilla alla luce del sole. Nel tardo pomeriggio, mentre la luce calda accarezza le sabbie, le dune subiscono una trasformazione magica, passando dall’oro rosa ai vivaci toni dell’arancio, del rosa e del viola. Questo spettacolo accattivante non è solo uno spettacolo ma un'esperienza che lascerà un'impressione indimenticabile nella tua anima.

This 3-day Sahara trip from Marrakech to Merzouga was just fantastic! Start to finish, everything was elegantly planned, safe, and genuinely scenic. The High Atlas Mountain ride and stops at Ait Ben Haddou and Dades Valley added so much cultural depth to the experience. The highlight of the trip, of course, was the camel trek into the Merzouga dunes. Looking out over the sunset across the Sahara, and camping overnight in a beautiful desert camp under the stars — simply unforgettable. Spotless camp, beautiful food, and the music around were enough to create an idyllic, peaceful atmosphere. Our driver/guide was kind, funny, and shared so much about Moroccan culture and traditions. This tour gave us memories we’ll cherish forever — highly recommended for anyone visiting Morocco!
