The bus took us on a journey of about 6 hours to hydroelectric, then from there two hours of walking along the railway to Anguas Calientes. Check in at the hotel where the guide Victor came to meet me and explained how the visit to Machu Picchu would be structured. Early morning 1 hour and 20 minutes Walk along the path leading from Anguas Calientes to the entrance of Machu Picchu. I met them Victor and started the guided tour to the site, gave me a lot of information and took many unforgettable photos. After the tour return to Hidroelectrica on foot and 7 adventurous hours by minibus to return to Cusco
We had Julio as our tour guide who was amazing. He really knew his stuff so we learned a lot about the history of Machu Picchu. He also went at our pace, so we didn't miss anything.
First of all, Machu Picchu itself is a wonderful place, truly unique in a global context. Including the special way you get there. Whether by train, bus or on foot. Secondly, our guide, Victor, was absolutely fantastic. He gave us lots of information, great stories, and could answer everything we wondered. Thirdly, the bus trip to Hydroelectrica is an experience in itself. Although it’s a bit tiring with 7 hours on somewhat poor roads, the views and the experience are quite special.
First of all, the goal, Machu Picchu, is magnificent. Secondly, our guide there was the best! He gave us so much knowledge and so many stories, it was fantastic. Thirdly, the ride in the van was an experience of its own, on unbelievable roads, wouldn’t have missed it.
Awesome experience! We ordered the day before during low-season and still It was stress free and good weather! We had Victor as a guide, whom was very knowledgeable and a charming guide! Would definitely recommend!
The walk from Hydroelectrica to Aguas Calientes was great, and it was also the trip up to Machu Picchu. Our guide was available for questions all the time, and very nice and knowledgeable. The bus ride from Cusco to Hydroelectrica is swinging, so if you get car sick I recommend travel sick tablets. Overall a very nice experience.
Excellent experience and budget friendly. Stayed at a nice hotel and had a private guide. Nixon was available to answer any questions you had. Thank you 😊
I had an amazing time!! Nixon, my virtual travel assistant, made everything seamless. Thank you!
We got on the bus to Aguascalientes and were never given an itinerary. We were finally dropped off in hydroelectrica and no one spoke English. Finally someone told us to walk 6 miles and we would meet someone to take us to the hotel. No one met us and we had to text and call someone to find out what to do and where to go. Very disorganized and disappointed. Fortunately, the Guide at Machu Pichu was great .
Great experience with Arturo great guide, super friendly gave me total support and explanation, loved to know Machu Picchu
