15 giorni di birdwatching e tour culturale in Bhutan

Descrizione

I booked a birding trip with Langur Eco Tours and saw some amazing birds and other wildlife. I was impressed by the level of expertise and organisation shown by the company and their staff. My guide was great company and taught me a lot about the country as well as the wildlife.
We booked our tour of Bhutan directly with Chubzang at Langur Eco Travels. We were a little anxious about sending money directly to someone we hadn’t met, far away but based on such positive reviews we took a leap of faith. Best decision we ever made! Chubzang is one of the most organised and efficient professionals I have dealt with in the travel business. Excellent English language , quick to respond to communications even when out in the field , flexible with itinerary’s and happy to take our feedback and requests on board. The quality of the accommodation and transport more than met our expectations but most importantly to us the knowledge of local flora and fauna was unparalleled. Both Chubzang and our personal guide Tenzin have deep expertise on the BirdLife and wildlife of the country and surrounding areas. Everyday was a school day on our 21 day trip ! We found all the top birds , plus so many more. Mostly our sightings were close up and of a very high quality for photographing. The cultural education we received on this fascinating country was also, no pun intended enlightening . Tenzin and our driver Paymah were also excellent company and we felt at ease and laughed a lot over the course of 21 days. I cannot recommend Langur Eco travels highly enough . Also we were very satisfied knowing that 100% of our money was going directly to the country and hard working locals rather than through a uk based third party . Esther and Gary UK April 2026
A trustworthy company for your Bhutan birding trip with well-thought itineraries, extremely helpful staff, fantastic guides and a great catering crew preparing superb picnic breakfasts and lunches in the most wonderful settings. Thoroughly recommended.
My second trip to Bhutan with Langur Eco Travels was one of the finest trips in my life, it was a wonderful experience and I higly appreciate the 5 ***** services they provided during our stay.
Our trip to Bhutan with Langur Eco Travels was a truly incredible experience, from start to finish. Our guide, Jigme, was wonderful! He is an incredible birder and naturalist. He is also a wildlife photographer, which he provided lots of guidance on how to get great bird photos as well. We loved the combination of the bird watching with the culture and history as well. We visited some of the most spiritual and amazing monasteries in the World, including visiting the famous Tigers Nest (Taktsang Palphug Monastery). The birding was truly amazing, seeing 324 species of birds during our trip, many of which were life birds for us. We also saw incredible mammals, such as the golden langur, which was so special. We did a lot of hiking through beautiful landscapes, and incredible biological diversity. The accommodations were wonderful, with beautiful hotels, in small villages, and excellent food and service. Everywhere we went, people treated us like family and welcomed us with warm smiles and kindness. They say Bhutan is the happiest country in the World, which we agree. We hope to return someday and if we do, we will most definitely go with Langur Eco Travels again!
The experience we've had with the operator was superb throughout, from the initial enquiry through to completion of the trip. Flights to Bhutan were arranged on our behalf as were the visas; in spite of the 'considerable' Bhutan royalty fee the price of the trip was not excessive, including for a party of just 2. We covered a lot over 15 days, travelled over much of Bhutan, seeing a lot of wildlife, scenery, visiting monasteries and temples. Our guide and driver were superb; courteous and knowledgable - we had no concerns throughout. Ngawang was considerate to arrange our itinerary to avoid crowds in popular places. Accommodation was comfortable, transport was satisfactory, food was superb.
Wonderful experience on this birding tour. Our group comprised 12 travellers, most of them above 60. Excellent bird-guide, vehicle, expert navigator, comfortable hotels, well planned itinerary. Cherish the moments sighting the pheasants and many tiny birds and the the trek to Tiger's Nest.
An excellent professional company who made sure that we had a wonderful experience. Our guides had fantastic knowledge and expertise in finding birds, wildlife and interpreting the Bhutanese culture. The catering team were also impressive in producing hot meals in all conditions.
Great trip. Superb guides deriver and on site catering. Learned so much about Bhutan and the skills of leaders must be the best in their field
Langur Eco-travels prepared a thoughtful and soul-satisfying birding and culture itinerary that ticked all the boxes of a meaningful experience for our group of 7 birders/ nature lovers/ culture enthusiasts from the Philippines. Our trip had 2 parts - the first half focused on culture + opportunistic birding, starting in Paro and ending in Bumthang where we had a chance to participate in festivals (tsheschu) in two significant monasteries in the region. After Bumthang, the group of four returned to Paro to conclude their trip. The 2nd part took 3 of us further east to higher elevations and bumpier roads, where we had great views of target species - Blood Pheasants, Beautiful Nuthatches, warblers, parrotbills, hornbills as well as great views of a Red Panda, three langur species, among others. After the highlands we made our way south towards Mongar and the Gelephu Mindfulness City (a work in progress) for lower elevation birds- peafowl and waterbirds before we headed back to Paro. I wish we could have stayed longer! The 2nd part was especially memorable for lunch picnics and the Bhutan bird festival in Tingtibi, Zhemgang! Not only did we get to see birds, we also had the chance to interact with locals and feel the heartbeat of the community. As for accommodations, Trogon Villa in Yongkola , and the new community-run Berti WBH ecolodge in Zhemgang deserve special mention. On a personal note, I had a "tripping" mishap on our first day, and had to be taken to urgent care. Mr. Chubzang Tangbi, (Langur marketing director and top birding guide / photographer) himself rushed to bring me to Thimphu hospital together with our culture guide Ugyen. My big thanks to Thimphu Hospital staff (intake GPs, Radiology, and ENT) for the excellent care and reassurance. Thankfully the injury was minor (though painful) and served as a reminder that there are many uneven surfaces in Bhutan. I simply had to be more mindful and not rush as much as I do in my city life. Langur Ecotravel truly went above and beyond our expectations by providing comfortable rides and accommodations, great food, topnotch service and the nurturing gracious presence-guidance of our guides and drivers. Truly they were more like family to us than "service providers." They were the heart and soul of the trip. Our birding driver even "composed" and sang a little song for us before we left! I am so grateful to Langur, especially Chubzang Tangbi for such a thoughtful itinerary that incorporated the non-birding elements I requested. Our empowered and relentless guides made sure we went home with no regrets (but raring to return to Bhutan). To all we say Kadrinchoela! This trip will be hard to top. Notes: 1. This is my 2nd time in Bhutan. I also had a wonderful time during my first trip but it was a more straightforward "touristy" tour. For those who want a more immersive experience, I highly recommend a culture and nature-oriented tour with Langur Eco-travel. If you can stay longer than 15 days, that would be best. To cover all the destinations we had a number of one-night stays, which was a necessary trade-off. 2. Flying into Paro from Bangkok: best to stay one day in Thailand so one can be well-rested to make the most of the first day in Bhutan.
