Our excursion was extremely disappointing. First of all the van was 30 minutes late. What we expected and what we received were quite different. There was a talk regarding Leonardo Di Caprio and the Titanic and we were told we were stopping at the jewelry store where the famous engraver who made the rings for Leo Di Caprio. Pedro said take 15 minutes. We were there over an hour. Then we had churros across the street that we had to pay for. One of my biggest take aways was to tour Frida Kahlo’s house. We did a drive by to take a Ed photo of the house, not an inside view of her life. We were extremely upset. When we visited Coyoacán we were told 30 minutes, but we ended with about 15 minutes. Then we were off to Xochimilco and we were told that we would be getting lunch. No where did it say we would have to pay. Once we got on the boat, it began to thunder and rain very hard. I understand that we have no control over the weather but the people running the route should have been prepared with rain slickers like the other boat tours had. We were all soaking wet. There has to be communication between Viator and the company they subcontract with. I feel that we should be given our money back. It was false advertising.
Dear guest, thank you for your feedback. We understand your interest in spending more time at Frida Kahlo’s House; however, the visit is specified as a panoramic (exterior) stop within a shared tour (not private), so timings cannot be modified. The silver shop stop lasted approximately 20 minutes, as per the itinerary. Additionally, operations in Mexico City can be affected by traffic, which may impact timing. In Xochimilco, food is optional and not included, as stated in the description. In this case, several factors came together, including weather conditions, shared tour dynamics, and details clearly outlined in the tour description. We appreciate your feedback. Majestic Tours Team
PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT: we were expecting to visit Frida Kahlo’s Blue House & it was literally a drive by with a few minutes to take pictures in FRONT of the home. A TRUE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! Instead we spent almost an hour at a Silver Shop as our first stop! It was supposed to be a quick 15 minute stop. UNAM was also just a “drive by” with a mini stop by the stadium for a quick picture. In Xochimilco, a lunch was ordered to eat on the Trinera/boats which was an additional $300 MNX per person with drinks at an additional cost. Although a delicious lunch, o totally unexpected expense. To top it off, it started to rain heavily 10 minutes into our departure from the platform. We were soaked, the boat took in water and basically we turned around so never really experienced this tour. Another disappointment. Our group leaders didn’t provide us with rain jackets like other groups had. I know that tour companies can’t control the weather but they could definitely prepare for it. Had we not wasted time at the silver shop, we might have enjoyed a longer ride. Our driver & tour guide were fine but friendly. We found out that although we purchased our trip through Viator, the company sub-contracts another company therefore itineraries may not match as in our case.

We had an amazing experience, the tour guide was punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. The group wasn't as big and we were able to connect amidst the language differences.

Poorly organized and tour guides do not follow schedule. The only real experience is xochimilco and it was very short and late. Spent more time in the car than at any of the locations. All other locations listed are just a drive by's.
Dear traveler, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We regret that the experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that the itinerary, estimated times, panoramic stops (drive-by visits), and approximate duration at each location are clearly specified in the official tour description prior to booking. This tour is designed as a panoramic experience combining guided transportation with strategic stops, including the Xochimilco experience. Regarding timing, adjustments may occur due to traffic conditions, operational logistics, or circumstances beyond our control, especially in a dynamic city environment. We always prioritize safety and the overall fulfillment of the itinerary. We appreciate your comments, as they help us continue improving the clarity of our communication for future travelers. Kind regards, Majestic Tours Team

the river experience was not that impressive. the most impressive part is the tour guide Sergio. He was able to explain everything from the history of mexico. He was very accommodating of any questions under the sun. I felt the trip very worth it because of the knowledge that was given to me. Kudos to Senor Sergio!!
Thank you for your review! 😊 We’re so happy to hear that Sergio made the tour special for you 🇲🇽✨ His passion for sharing Mexico’s history and answering every question truly makes a difference 🧠💬 ¡Kudos indeed to Señor Sergio! We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words 🙌👏
The tour guide Manuel was great! Fun, informative and zero BS. We were a small group, so we all fit in a 12 pax van. Just wished we knew before hand that the House of Frida Kahlo would be closed on Monday, which was the date we took the tour. For the rest, it was a great trip. In Xiochimilco we had some good food, and drinks ;), only thing missing was some music! We fell in love with Coyoacan!!! What a vibrant city, with great food and awesome drinks. Wished we could have spent more time there! What was also a treat, when we visited Plateria Rafael; he was the artist for the jewelry in movies Titanic and Romeo & Juliet, both starring Leonardo Di Caprio
Thank you so much for your honest and detailed review! 😊 We're thrilled to hear that you had a great time with Manuel — he's definitely one of our stars! 🌟 Fun, informative and always keeping it real 💬🙌 Xochimilco, Coyoacán, good food, drinks and a bit of movie magic at Platería Rafael? 🎶💃 Sounds like quite the day! We're happy you enjoyed it and we’d love to have you back to explore even more next time 🇲🇽💚
