Nous marcherons vers la place du marché où vous verrez les deux premiers points de repère, le Falkenhaus, une auberge construite au 18ème siècle. avec une belle façade rococo. Au nord de la place du marché, se trouve la Marienkapele (chapelle de Marie) avec son architecture gothique bien conservée et ses belles statues réalisées par le célèbre sculpteur allemand Tilman Riemenschneider. En quelques minutes de marche, vous rejoindrez l’hôtel de ville et la grande fontaine baroque, le «Vierröhrenbrunnen». De là, nous traverserons l’ancien pont sur la rivière principale, ce qui est également une excellente occasion de prendre des photos. (En option sur ce circuit, la forteresse de Marienberg située de l'autre côté de la rivière, qui est accessible par les transports en commun ou à pied. Comptez environ 20 minutes de marche pour rejoindre la forteresse, si vous préférez vous promener, et vous aurez une vue spectaculaire sur la la vallée de la rivière et la ville. En descendant, en traversant le pont, nous nous dirigeons vers la résidence, un grand palais baroque situé sous la résidence, le Staatlicher Hofkeller, l'ancienne cave à vin de la cour royale qui les meilleurs vins de la région, un commerce pour lequel cette ville est célèbre!

Elizabeth was excellent. Very knowledgeable, good communication, answered all questions, highly recommend.
Since we unfortunately had 2 hours train delay we could not use the full 2 hours of the tour. Nevertheless, Ms Nickel took a little longer to show us some of Würzburg. Her stories were very refreshing and entertaining. Furthermore, she and a few more tips on what else we can do. On the whole, we really liked the tour. Thank you for this

It was more like share a drink. No AH moment even from a distance along river banks. There was a spot I saw clamped of locked keys.

Stefanie was fantastic. We have traveled to a lot of countries with various guides and she was by far the best. She enjoys people and has guided for over 20 years. It showed. She provided in detail background history of the famous sights. We had great conversation throughout the tour. She knew what would be open, such as cathedrals etc. She packed a lot in; 3 hours worth of content in 2 hours. She made the best use of our time. It was truly an enjoyable experience. Our guide, Stefanie A, was the BEST walking tour guide I've EVER had. She is classy, well-spoken and eloquent and a beautiful story teller! I could listen to hear speak all day. I was traveling with a group of 12 students from a community college in Texas and met my German exchange student in Würzburg with his family who speak limited English, but because of her slow, clear and beautiful communication, they were able to understand most of the tour in English! She is so regal and such a joy and I feel so blessed we got to have her twice (part one on our arrival day in Würzburg, and then again on Sunday, December 15th. Thank you for such a wonderful tour, Stefanie, and for helping me pick the perfect wine in the Residenz Gift Shop! I shared it with friends when I got home to Texas and it was delicious!
