Visiter le Costa Rica sans découvrir la forêt tropicale humide, c'est comme passer à côté d'un aspect essentiel de ses splendeurs naturelles. La forêt tropicale est réputée pour être une destination incontournable à découvrir au moins une fois dans sa vie, et lorsqu'on y ajoute un volcan, le voyage devient vraiment extraordinaire. Imaginez-vous face à un cratère accessible à pied, admirant la beauté majestueuse qui marie harmonieusement deux paysages distincts : la végétation luxuriante de la forêt tropicale et le relief accidenté du volcan. Cette juxtaposition de couleurs et de textures est un véritable spectacle pour les yeux, qui témoigne de la puissance impressionnante de la nature. De plus, votre aventure ne se limite pas à une simple observation. Imaginez-vous en train de piquer une tête rafraîchissante dans une cascade naturelle cristalline, nichée au cœur de la jungle. Ici, au cœur d'une végétation luxuriante, vous pouvez vous baigner en toute sécurité, bercés par l'atmosphère sereine de cette oasis isolée.

Itinéraire
Cette excursion nous mènera au pied du volcan Miravalles, avec un arrêt en chemin près d'une cascade pittoresque, où vous pourrez vous baigner dans un bassin naturel aux eaux cristallines.
Nous partons ensuite en randonnée dans la forêt tropicale humide, où nous trouverons, grâce à deux ponts suspendus, trois cascades cachées. Nous arrivons ensuite à Las Hornillas, un cratère volcanique ACTIF que l'on peut traverser à pied. Préparez-vous à être émerveillés par les fumerolles, les roches sulfureuses, les mares de boue volcanique bouillonnantes et bien plus encore ! Ici, vous pourrez vous détendre dans des sources thermales de renommée mondiale, ouvrir vos pores dans un sauna unique en son genre, construit au-dessus d'un bassin minéral bouillonnant chauffé naturellement, puis vous enduire le corps de boue volcanique provenant du même cratère. Terminez par un bain relaxant dans les sources chaudes naturelles, le tout avec une vue imprenable sur le volcan Miravalles !

Nous pouvons essayer de constituer des groupes avec des participants provenant de différents hôtels ; il est donc important de réserver les MARDI et JEUDI. Si nous n'atteignons pas le nombre minimum de participants, l'excursion devra être annulée, car elle n'est pas rentable au tarif normal. 2. We were picked up and Cesar was very professional and spoke very proudly about life in everyday Costa Rica. Very informative of the tour schedule and kept it relaxed and on point. He actually did spot a Sloth family at the volcano area with a 9 month old baby and allowed many photos. Made the day to them in their natural habitat and not in a cage. The day was fun and full of action. On the way back him and Maik made a driving detour and found a small troop of Holler Monkey’s and we stopped to do photos and really hear just how loud they are. This excursion was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we left the hotel, it felt like stepping straight into a nature documentary. We chased waterfalls through lush jungle trails, spotted the sleepiest sloths tucked high in the trees, and even came across snakes and vibrant butterflies along the way. Every turn felt like a new discovery. The guide Noel and our driver were incredible, pointing out wildlife we would have completely missed on our own and sharing so much knowledge about the ecosystem. The hike around Miravalles Volcano was stunning, and the hot springs at the end were the perfect reward. And yes… the volcanic mud? Fully embraced it. Messy, fun, and surprisingly relaxing. If you’re looking for a mix of adventure, wildlife, and a little bit of “wow, is this real life?” — this is it. Absolutely worth it.

Second tour of the trip and it did not disappoint. Huge shoutout to Alex for making it such a memorable experience. From ziplining and waterfalls to horseback riding, hanging bridges, and ending the day in hot springs… it was everything. 10/10 recommend for a one-day adventure.

What a beautiful experience, it was healing and peaceful during some of it and then the other part was exciting and adventurous. The driver and tour guide Cesar were amazing, kept our stuff safe on the bus and the tour guide knew so much about Costa Rica to teach us along the way.
