Description
Bonjour!

I had high hopes for this tour given that the guides are educated in archeology and history in the site. While that was the case, I was disappointed that we did not get to visit Palacio de quetzalpapálotl or Palacio de Tetitla which are included in the itinerary in the description. The guide did give a detailed walkthrough in the museum that is not mentioned in the itinerary.
Hola Travis, I appreciate the feedback, the site has been going through some remodeling and we had to change the itinerary slightly so you could have access to restrooms, the majority of them had been closed, also with the rains we had the system tends to go down and we would hate to have waiting an indefinite amount of time waiting for the gates to open. Our goal is to always provide the smoothest experience, if this was a part you were really expecting to see you could've told Bruno that day so he would make sure to make everything possible to visit those specific areas. When we change the itinerary we try to include another area that's equally as valuable so you don't miss out on anything, but instead have something as cool to see. Kindly, Gio and the team. :)
The whole experienced was relaxed, and enjoyable. The driver was highly skilled and terrific in the traffic, maintaining safety and comfort. And our guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and interesting. I learnt a lot, and he answered questions with helpful information. Pace, just right. Highly recommend
Gio was a very knowledgable guide with great narrative skills - the visit to Teotihuacán was a very interesting and educative experience. Not only was his tour amazing but he also took the group's questions and answered them in detail, offered great context, and ensured that we left with lots of knowledge about the people that inhabited Teotihuacán and their culture. The logistics were executed perfectly, the pickup and drop-off punctual, the drive comfortable (with bottled water available in the vehicle). I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to visit this incredible place.
Gio is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide with great English skills. The whole tour ran smoothly from start to end. The bakery stop was much appreciated since the tour starts early in the morning. We were driven between 3 different sections of the site, to avoid too much walking in the hot sun. You can currently climb up the Temple of Quetzalcoatl and part of the Temple of the moon, which was cool. One thing that differentiates this tour from many others is that you go straight to Teotihuacan without stopping at all those other lesser sites, letting you enjoy it before the crowds arrive!
Gio went far beyond basic historical information. He explained the cultural and symbolic background of many details, helping us understand not just what happened, but why it happened and how it influenced society. It added a rich and thoughtful depth to the entire experience. It would be better if it’s little bit longer but anyway we had beautiful experience and very well informed!
So happy to have an expert guide for the Artificial Mountians (Pyramids) at Teotihuacan. Gio provided anthropological context for the amazing sights we saw, making them more meaningful and memorable. It was very convenient to have transportation from our stay near Condesa. Great job Gio!
A really well run , intimate, informal and personal tour by Gio. It was great to get going early in the morning (plus a cappuccino and a pan dulce at Rosetta!) and be ahead of the crowds (look at the photo and note how few people around) and be back early enough that you still have your afternoon and lunch in Condesa. Gio's knowledge and passion for the Teotihuacan really enhanced the tour of the site and the understanding of the city. The visit to the residential historical site really made it special to understand the culture and an extra bonus as the tour buses don't go there. Highly recommend Gio's Teotihuacan Tour.
Had a great time with Gio! We were a great group size ( only 5 of us) and got there early enough so that there were no crowds. Gio did a great job of showing us different aspects of the Teotihuacános life and culture!
Gio clearly has a passion for the detailed art preserved at these sites, even taking us to the off-site Tetitla murals that other tours rarely go to. He interpreted the various murals, carvings, and aesthetics in an accessible and engaging way, and used this as great context for how the people of the city lived, giving a nuanced picture of what life was like over the centuries. This was actually my third guided tour of Teotihuacan (I keep on convincing people to visit CDMX with me), and there was still quite a bit that was new for me. The logistics are also efficient and smart - early start to beat the traffic, no wasted time waiting for hotel pickup, breakfast at the hottest bakery in the entire city, and back in time for lunch!
Such a great and informative tour and all planned in a good amount of time. Nothing boring like typical tours. Nothing rushed either. Gio was fantastic!
