Vehicle was nice and the driver was punctual and professional. We had a half day tour, which is really only 3 hours in Toledo. Unfortunately, we wasted a fair amount of that when the guide took us to "the best shop in town" as soon as we got out of the vehicle. Where we got the hard sell for jewelry and swords. Not the best first impression of a city like Toledo. Consequently, we couldn't really slow the rest of the time. We wanted to stop and linger a little in the cathedral, but the (now compressed) schedule wouldn't allow it. Occasionally the guide needed to take a smoke break, so we got to stop during those. Toledo is great. We just shouldn't have spent so much time in the tourist shop.
Elena, our guide, was excellent! Very personable and warm. We enjoyed spending the day with her, and learned so much about this beautiful and interesting former capital city of Spain! The tour was the right balance between learning the history, and a bit of shopping (but not too much). Elena was so likeable she felt like a member of our travel family.
