This was a great tour. We appreciated that it was private and everything was taken care of. Our guide also helped us to find a place to see live axolotls on Xochimilco and took us to his favorite quesadilla place in Coyoacan.
This was a wonderful tour! We were picked up on time in a clean van, with a safe driver and a friendly guide who spoke excellent English. We had a private trajinera in Xochimilco, where we enjoyed shopping, food, and mariachis. Frida Kahlo's blue house is a must-see! Definitely ignore anyone who says it's a tourist trap. I'm glad we chose a tour, as walk-ins were turned away at the door because they had already sold all the tickets for the day. Coayacan was fun and vibrant, and our guide gave us several options (we chose the mercado of course). I wish I could remember our guide's name, she was wonderful.
Our guide seemed to have his own itinerary. We were picked on time and our guide, George gave us a brief, hurried overview of our day. It was difficult to understand as he said it so fast so I asked for clarification and I provided Viator's itinerary for the day. He looked at it and said we were not going to the Museo Diego Rivera Anahuacalli, it isn't really a museum (?). We were driven to an Olympic stadium which had a Diego Rivera mural. Across the street there was a university building and we spent 40 minutes as he explained all four sides of a building in great detail. We arrived at Xochimilco and took the trajinera up the canal. It was very colorful and definitely worthwhile. From there we drove to Coyoacan a lovely town. We went into a beautiful church, went to the guide's friend's restaurant for quesadillas, and stopped for churros. We felt like we were on his trip not ours as he basically ate his way through Coyoacan. We were rushed from eatery to eatery. We sprinted to Museo Frida Kahlo. When we arrived at our ticketed time he said, 40 minutes that's all and that he and the driver would be parked outside waiting. Our itinerary indicated two hours at the Frida Kahlo Museum. He threw cold water on our much anticipated visit. We arranged this private tour for a reason, quality. We planned for years to visit Casa Azul and it was the centerpiece of our visit to Mexico City. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. I have used Viator many times all over the world and have never been disappointed until now.
Tour operator very easy to communicate with as we had to substitute Coyocan/Frida Kahlo Museum with Bella’s Artes/Museum of Anthropology due to lack of available tickets. Nonetheless, our guide Arturo was extremely knowledgeable and informative as well as earnest and friendly which made for a wonderful tour! Highly recommended working with this company!
We have an amazing experience Veronica is very knowledgeable and personable. She made the trip worth it and I would recommend this to anyone.
We had a great time in this tour. Veronica the guide and Tony the driver was on time and friendly. Veronica was very knowledgeable and shared lots of information! We had some free time for lunch and a bit of shopping.
This private tour was one of the best tours I have taken on any vacation. Our Tour guide Verito was so knowledgeable not just about the tour but about Mexico City and all of its wonder. She was also flexible and let us stay a bit longer in xochilomco before heading to the Frida Khalo Museum. We truly enjoyed the experience and would recommend to all looking for a tour to all of these places
So wonderful and insightful, and our tour guide, Marian, and driver, Carlos, were so welcoming and fun!! They were so accommodating and attentive❤️ Highly recommend!!!
