Notre chauffeur parlant anglais vous amènera directement au village de Shirakawago, classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO, et vous y passerez 2 heures et demie. En traversant le spectaculaire pont piétonnier sur la rivière Sho, vos sens seront remplis des sons et des odeurs de la vie rurale authentique. Ce village de conte de fées ne manquera pas de vous inspirer comme l’un des sites les plus pittoresques du Japon.
Votre groupe sera ensuite emmené dans les rues bordées de canaux de Hida-Furukawa. Votre groupe y passera une heure, explorant la ville et prenant son déjeuner. Cet avant-poste autrefois important pendant la période Edo est riche en histoire architecturale. Célèbre pour son artisanat en bois et ses festivals turbulents, ce village est un joyau rare parmi les villes et les villages de cette région montagneuse.
Le prochain arrêt est Takayama. Vous passerez 2 heures ici à explorer cette vieille ville magnifiquement préservée, célèbre au Japon pour la menuiserie et la fabrication du saké. Takayama a prospéré pendant la période Edo et cela se voit dans son agencement, ses beaux bâtiments et sa préservation culturelle.

One of the best tours our family has ever done. Yuta was an unbelievable guide. He was early, polite, spoke great English and a really great guy. I couldn’t recommend this tour more highly. 1st stop @ Shirakawa-Go was amazing, lunch and stroll in Takayama then he suggested a pivot to Furrawka. A super authentic village with streams full of koi running past houses, visit to sake brewer and then a local designer. To top things off Yuta turns up to our hotel the day after in a taxi with a jacket I left in the car and meets us at front of hotel. His wife also owns the curry restaurant we went to the day before called syamaron, which was amazing.

We had a very nice time exploring these towns. Takayama was the standout with a beautiful and charming old town, I would argue nicer than the ones in Kanazawa. Shirakawa-go was very interesting and worth visiting as it is on the way and it is small so it is not a long detour. Our guide was Mai and she was great. Knowledgeable, attentive and flexible, she knew where to go and where not to. She also took us to a very nice restaurant, and it our experience that sometimes these guides do not necessarily take you to the right places, because they probably get a commission. That was not the case with Mai. She also speaks very good English, which is not that common in Japan. Over all a very good experience

My family did the Shirakawa-go, Takayama, and Hida Furukawa tour and we couldn’t have asked for a better tour day with our driver guide Takeshi. As a Kanazawa native he was very knowledgeable about Kanazawa and its surrounding areas. At all of the tour spots, he guided is through the location and then gave us time to explore ourselves. My family is vegetarian and for lunch he took us to a very nice Indian/nepalese restaurant. It was a pleasure to travel with Takeshi, he always engaged in conversation and will go out of his way to keep everybody comfortable. 100% recommend this tour.
